Wow. Ouch. Oh my. That really puts us in our place. Not. Now I have to go to the bathroom and take a dump during halftime of the NFL football game. Jets vs Panthers. Great stuff.
You guys got nothing worth going back to except some nice beers. Glad the Frogs/Dutch people bought that Bud swill off our hands.
Perhaps they could split the carbons out, release the O2, or even generate and release O3, and spread the carbon matter out over the surface of some glaciers to help melt them?
Don't worry. Chances of this lame-assed idea ever going anywhere are less than zero.
Consider: Who is going to work there? Who is going to dig and insulate the pit? Who is goin to fund this lunacy? Who would ever approve such trashing of the Antarctic?
Snowball's chance of this ever getting any real progress.
I think that Wikileaks is just another example of western culture self destructing. It is being lead down that path by a bunch of idealistic academics that don't, or are not able to, consider the long term impact of their disparate actions which push the bounds of acceptable behavior and law in our civilization to the benefit of competing cultures within and outside of our borders. I call the actions disparate because I've not seen any leaks of value from non-western countries.
Do you see any general publication of state secrets in China? In Islamic countries? From former USSR areas? From the world's totolitarian states? What's the cost to us in our competitive world of this idealism? And what greater value does it provide us that's worth that cost? Is the cost to the proliferation of democracy in those states worth the openness that Wikileaks wants to achieve?
On another matter, if Asange believes in transparency and openness should he not return and face his accusers in court and in public rather than seek sanctuary and cloister in Equador? His approach seems very hipocritical to me.
You can either fund trade unions and old people or you can fund some investments. But with $16T in debt the cash flow just has to be slowed.
You people feeding at the public trough need to get a private sector job and start helping to solve our real and pressing debt problem.
(And I'm ok with taking a big bite out of defense spending, too. In fact, I am excited about hitting that debt limit trip wire and bringing the whole government crashing down! Good times!)
There is nothing more inefficient at fiscal management than someone spending other people's money.
While the X-51A is launched with a rocket, it has an air-breathing engine on board. It has control surfaces rather than directional thrusters. Are those not the key differences between an aircraft and missile? I would call the X-51A an aircraft.
B52's fly and drop their bombs from well beyond the range of a Stinger missile. I doubt any of the B52's are landing at Bagram to make the good targets for the local sheep headers.
Your GDP ranking does not determine if you are "first world", "second world", or "third world". It has as much to do with the quality of the infrastructure and the social and political climate. It might have to do with the level of education (or the mean and median grade achievement level), or it might have to do with the general level of literacy.
Let's just concede that the separate sound cards make better sound than the integrated sound chips. The question to me is, is that improved sound quality important? For me, my PC is not my home entertainment center's audio system. My PC is not my portable audio system. Skype-like video conferencing has very low quality sound, and output text to speech audio is barely understandable, anyway. I don't take the output audio wave forms of my PC and run them into audio signal quality meters though I might take the wave forms and run them through audacity to examine them. I play the PC audio through low-cost desktop speakers from Creative which are not, by a long shot, "hi-fi speakers". When they break, I throw them away and get replacements. I'd never consider replacing the foams on those speakers, like I do my real speakers. Why would I consider spending $50 for improved audio wave forms?
Reason for crash obvious: lady doing the countdown skipped step one and went straight to zero. How did we ever reach the moon? Oh I know. They didn't have women working in NASA back in the 60's.
...will finally be able to discover the Northwest Passage!
They aren't called pallella westerns.
It's so you can drive the kids off a cliff or into a lake without personal risk.

Wouldn't a string of hookers in the back be more useful?
Modest proposal? Ha ha.

Wow. Impressive. Did you make all that up yourself?

OK lets put 20 seconds on the clock...
So apparently the UK believes in capital punishment.
Let's reanimate that thing and make a reality show watching him aclamate to 2012.
Maybe he hanged himself since living in the UK was just insufferable?
Perhaps you have a vested interest in government spending on big science?
Funny, but bigoted and intolerant.
Its not a plane, its a missile.

Word on the news is that the flight didn't go well, and the aircraft broke up less than a minute into its flight.

Oh gosh...I hope it's not me.
Cold as hell? If hell has frozen over, then Jim is going to get to have sex with Mary. (If you remember the classic old joke.)
Amazon is in the content business. If they can sell books on an iPad mini I'm sure they will be happy to get the profits.

Shouldn't you be looking at DLT devices for this kind of dat set size?
24x7?

Golf bats? Do they come out at night and consume lost balls on the links courses?
