Microsoft has the right to include those but I have the right as a consumer to uninstall them and pick something else. Microsoft does not allow choice, therefore they are in violation.
Well, He just contradicted himself. Not intended for widespread copyright infringement....got started Distributing Linux.....I'd say SCO would argue it was all about copyright infringment from the get-go!
How do you distribute $699 as a.torrent anyway?;^)
Load a station wagon with backup tapes and drive it across the parking lot. At the same time, initiate a huge file transfer. Display the transfer results as % of Station wagon loads/ft.
That should be clear as crystal and plenty gee-whiz enough:^)
I sent an email to the mars outreach email address asking this same question several days ago. I have not heard back yet (not surprisingly). I am still concerned/curious.
I don't like virii of any kind. However It seems rather poetic to me that M$ used SCO to try and take down Linux and now some Linux folks are using M$ to try and take down SCO.
That is only because it is a BETA version at this time. The full version (which is a pre-order at this time) will support the keys and include one in the box.
Well, I have read a lot of stuff and said to my self....What a load of crap. So to finish out that thought... Information=mass, and since Mass=energy...You're right Information=energy!!;^)
I still have a voodoo card. A Canopus Pure 3D. The machine it was in died, so it is sitting there with all the other dead machines. I actually thought of using it's tv out capability in another box for a MAME machine in the living room.
So is this where I go to complain if a computer manufacturer refuses to sell me a computer without MS Windows installed, or no discount on same computer without Windows? How about enforcing refunds if the terms of the EULA are not acceptable?
Part of the problem as this article has pointed out is confusion over what "broadband" really is. The made some comment about FCC definition of 200Kbps in at least one direction. For a person with a cable modem, or sharing a T1, that might seem crappy and worthless. But for me , that's a 150% boost over what's available now, and I'd gladly pay for that "worthless broadband". People that live where there are Broadband options are taking it for granted, and wanting more. I just wish some of the money spent on population centers to offer 3-4 different types of 128Kbps and up service would have been spent on upgrading the rest of us stuck on sub 28Kbps phone lines with no alternatives.
What is that based on. There is no broadband where I live. Dialup is maxed out at 26.4Kbps, and my cell-phone works intermittently in town, and stops working all together about a mile from my house. I guess I am outside that "ubiquitous" area you mentioned. Or did that only apply to people that live in top 10 population centers?
Nothing like cold hard cash to get someones attention. This isn't "pay off the mortgage" kind of money, but better than a poke in the eye with a stick.
Don't jump to any conclusions. It has nothing to do with popularity. The one that will succeed will be the one MS supports natively in the next service pack.
Hystory is littered with changes in communication methods and styles. Perhaps it is time.
I never learned to write in cursive, and didn't have a computer to distract me until after leaving High school. I wouldn't blame drops in handwriting trends entirely on computers. Crappy education systems are probably equally responsable.
Of course, I can't type worth a damn either, so I am screwed;^)

I didn't say I complied.
:^)
Besides, I don't spend all my time posting to Slashdot.....
I am also working on my resume.
"So Darpa, the U.S. military's far-out research arm, wants scientists to figure out if soldiers can operate at top levels -- without lunch breaks."
Sounds like my job requirements.
Microsoft just needs to get a copy of the leaked code and look it over for potential exploits.
:^)
Oh wait.

Or something like that:^)
Apparently they are attracted by Apple's Battery technology then? :^)
I noticed some striking similarities with this site when looking up some product info.
;^)
Why doesn't MicroSoft go after these guys?

Just thought it was funny.

I thought BSD was dying!? What's this new release stuff?
:)
What's next...OS/3?
Complain to your elected representives. I wrote to my represientatives as soon as I read about it.
"In fact the worse a lawyer you get, the more benficial it'll be in the long run. Think it over?"
;^)
How about that David Boise guy? He hasn't won a case yet and should be available after SCO implodes shortly.

Just a few thoughts.
....for one decent song.
Even that is giving the average album a LOT of credit.
