There are several products that convert NTSC signals to VGA for display on your monitor. I have an external tv tuner I once had attatched to my monitor. Using that, I could attatch anything to my monitor that I could attatch to my tv. It's simple, universal among consoles, and requires no software setup.
Some people just don't appreciate the simple beauty of a plain ASCII email message, clearly written
Speaking of which, I've been looking for a way to force Outlook to display all incoming mail as plain text and not parse any html or script. Does anyone know of a way?

You're right. I didn't really think about that. I haven't been keeping up on my explosives lately. =)

It's the armor that makes the explosion possible. If you've ever held a match to a pile of black powder, you'd know that it doesn't do a whole lot. BUT if that black powder is confined to a small space, the pressure of the gasses builds until the container bursts. Hence the explosion. Now an artillary shell contains a lot of explosive and need to make a big bang. Therefore it needs a very thick, strong shell to contain the immense pressure of the gasses until enough gas has been produced to create the desired crater. That thick shell will also make it difficult to destroy enroute.
I'm not sure I agree. The Debian tools aren't too scary; it's the Debian install that's a bear. If there was a better installer for Debian I garauntee many more people would use it. It really is terrible if you haven't installed Debian a dozen times. Most people would give up on Debian before the install is complete and just use Mandrake or something. Are there any private projects to provide an alternate isntaller for Debian?
Oh I don't know about that. I hate when I can't find what I'm looking for on a site because they spend too much time on aesthetics and not enough on usability. The link you're looking for might be (and often is) right in front of you, but if the words used don't clearly indicate what they're linked to, it's very hard to find. "Fun" doesn't last long when you have other things to be doing and can't find the information you need.
I tried it a while back. It's very impressive. You can download an ISO of the full OS and most of it's packages at http://get.qnx.com/download/ for free.

Then go with QNX or something. It's light and designed from the ground up for embedded systems; not a scaled down behemoth squeezed into another market. Every OS has it's place. Windows just isn't a good idea for an embedded system (though it may do it's job adequately).
I'm not a subscriber, but I've read Linux Journal a few times. It is very helpfull and well ballanced. I've heard great things about it from people who ARE subscribers. There are some other good ones, but I think LJ is near the top.
I'm all for the ability to rate a search result as long as I have the option of ignoring ratings when I search. Sometimes I want to find the less popular pages. Some little-known sites have very usefull information, and they become very hard to find when they don't get ranked as often larger sites. I'm very impressed with Google thus far, and I'm sure they'll do this well. Their advanced search keywords are just wonderfull.
I personally think forced labor of some kind in prison facilities would do the US a lot of good. Just remember that different doesn't necesarrily mean wrong. I'm not endorsing anything China is doing, I just want everyone to think carefully before they condemn something.

My Visor Deluxe works perfectly under Win2K Pro. I installed Palm Desktop, plugged in the cradle, and was good to go. What problem are you having? What version of Palm Desktop?
That's not the issue though. Newly posted stories appear sooner for some people than others. I don't have anything ignored because there aren't enough stories posted as it is IMNSHO. Sometimes while logged in you will see a new story on the front page. If you log out, the story disappears and doesn't reappear as a new story for a short period of time. This has nothing to do with preferences.
I know that this is picky, but your sig is redundant. Please use 15% or 15 percent but not 15% percent. It just irks me. Did you do that on purpose? wait a minute...you're in on the conspiracy aren't you!?
Slow down moderators. Perhaps he IS offtopic but the above post had a valid question, and I'd like to know the answer. I've noticed it too. He said:

do different stories show up for anonymous/logged-in users? or anonymous ppl don't see stories with under a certain number of comments?"
Just because one program isn't being actively developed by one man in no way spells the end for an entire distribution. Sure Slackware will never be a widely used desktop OS, but big deal. Slack has many die hard fans who couldn't care less about package management. I'm sure someone will pick up the Slack (pun intended, laugh)

Before you get started you'll need a head-mounted display, a good set of headphones, and one of those thick black trash bags...

Well I'm sure they would have adapted in a short period of time, and that particular virus would be useless.
I once carried a double-edged battle axe through a mall. It was hard to keep a straight face. You get a lot of strange looks. I'm not sure why.
So cracking the password on that one account will make all the encryption useless? Wouldn't suprise me.

What have you been smoking? Whore
Monitor? Have you looked at the picture? Looks like a microwave to me. And just yesterday I was joking about building a pc inside an old microwave.
