despite what people think how eccentric djb is this is still a major win for someone who actually stood up for what he believed in rather then people who say what they believe about the the SCO case or the RIAA or MPAA.
DJB is accepting donations here for his case and for his open source writing.
Numerous people and businesses have benefited his work and he deserves every contribution he receives.
because people have already downloaded everything they really wanted?

Did you even read the blurb?
It mentions the download is available from Bit Torrent for free.
If you don't know what that is try, http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/
budgetlinuxcds.com mentions on their front page that,
Linux is free, we all know this - you just have to have a fast internet connection to be able to download the 1.2Gigabytes of data, and a CD burner to make the CDs, so that you can install it. Not really available to everyone. This is where we can help!
I don't see what the crib is? If you have another resource for people to get their iso just post it.
An blonde chick ran out of gas one night and a dude pulled over to offer assistance. She got in the car and noticed he had all kinds of radio equipment in the car and several antennas outside. She asked what that was all about. He explained he was a Ham radio operator and he could talk to anywhere in the world from right here in his car. She asked "Anywhere in the world?" and he assured her he could. "Even in Poland?" she asked. "Yes, even Poland." She said "Wow, my mother lives in Poland and today is her birthday. I'd do anything if I could tell her Happy Birthday." He said "You'd do anything?" She said "Yes, anything." So he pulled over on the top of a hill and pulled out his dick and said "Get with it." She grabbed ahold of it and bent over and said "Happy Birthday, Mom."
How many people actually protect their website statistics?
Adding a simple/stat/ or/stats/ or a variation with a combination of "web" or the name of any of the common statistic generation programs gets you access to the statistics of a *lot* of websites.
Then from the stats you could find any "hidden" data which is not linked on the site including internal company documents, girlfriend's nude photos or mp3s.
Alternately you could just google for the statistic reports of sites and get there more easily.
This is another case of ill informed or lazy users not following what should be a simple security policy which could cause serious repercussions.
For those who want to know how to protect yourself, read this link.

does more damage to the open source community
then any good.

It makes "Flamebait" on slashdot seem "Insightful".
by slashdotting the online demo site itself!

I think that was not quite the original intention

The UNIX philisophy part is mostly technical
while the Linux part is mostly non techical
with emphasis on GNU, Free Software and
Open Source.
A detailed technical differences list
alongwith a idealogical difference (eg
*BSD vs Linux) list would have been useful.

If Luftansa Systems sees demand for Linux, they'll be pushing their solutions to Luftansa Airlines and other customers.
It only means more and more commerial organisations will bestow faith in Linux.
Which only bodes good in these SCO lawsuit times.
