No. There is nothing to be said for censorship here.
Do you REALLY want a precedent set for video game censorship? No matter how tasteless you think some game is, someone thinks the games YOU like are tasteless/evil/bad for children and wants them banned.
The article refers to the group called The Nation of Islam, not to the sum total of muslims. I do understand why you'd think so though, as ignorance and propaganda following 9/11 have made a LOT of people think all muslims are terrorists out for some western blood.
The floppy and the newly-added printer are backup systems, nothing wrong with that. When I'm at school I usually transmit a copy of any files I'll need electronically and keep a backup floppy, just in case.
As for the dialup connections, how else would you suggest they connect terminals from all over Brazil (roughly 8.5 million km^2)? These are encrypted VPN-like connections. The system is certainly not perfect, but is light-years ahead of the technology currently used in the US.
Not all voting locations use the printer as a backup for hand counting. This is a pilot program being used in select locations such as Brasilia and Sergipe.
I don't see how it would be (much) harder to defraud software+printout as opposed to just the software, though.
Well, I also happen to HAVE to vote tomorrow, and I think it sucks. I'll probably vote blank for most of the positions we are electing tomorrow, for lack of a decent choice. Brazil also has mandatory military service for all able males when they turn 18 (luckily, we have far more people turning 18 than spots in the military). Not quite Democratic, in my opinion.
People who do know that drinking steals your reflexes will pay MORE attention while driving. If, on the rare occasions that I am driving and drunk (on Guinness of course) I deliberately become more alert, checking mirrors, speed limits, blindspots, indicators, lights, road signs, etc very carefully. There's only so much 'attention' to go around so when I'm drunk, I temporarily heighten the 'pool of attention' that is available so I don't flatten some pedestrian by accident.
Now, don't you think EVERY SINGLE drunk guy who gets into an accident thinks he is capable of driving home if he's just extra careful? I don't think the extra confidence here is healthy. Besides, should't you be paying full attention to the road to begin with?
OK, let's try this: See how many CEOs go to jail for scamming thousands of investors. If that number is greater than or equal to one, you win. If not, STFU. Deal?
Do hard drives write data from the outside in to take advantage of the fact that they're faster on the outer edges? I know CD-ROM's don't work like that (except for some console drive?).
I ask since all these defragging programs could in effect be moving all your data to the "slow" sections of the disk and (practically) everyone thinks it's a good thing.
(Obviously there are other advantages to defragging, but wouldn't it be possible to stick everything at the outer edge of the disk and take advantage of the higher transfer rates?)
Even if MS had a great privacy policy (which it doesn't), how safe can you be trusting them with personal data? Their history of insecurity makes me think twice about telling them anything. Remember the Hotmail exploit a few years back? What happens when someone cracks Passport server?
As far as MS can tell I'm still an old lady from Qatar...
As far as I know the camera crews/feed are from a German company formed specifically for this purpose (and Germany 2006, apparently). Still, you figure that Germans would know soccer/football and have figured out how to show the damn BALL instead of showing player reactions when teams are close to scoring.
Apple lost.

Try asking THIS guy.

Actually, it GIVES 3 Culture!
Perhaps we need to overthrow the current government, it's spending too much fighting silly wars instead of building some decent Wonders.

I don't know about during the vote count, but hashes for various programs used during the voting and vote count can be found here.

Is it just me or is the Amazon link a referral?
:P
Whore indeed
uh... what do you mean each time? You DID notice that's the same car in all the pictures, right? Right???
OR you could get your ass to this page, download the binary for your favorite OS and play it now. With sound.
Those no talent douchebags can't even come up with new material so they beg other "real" bands to remix their old stuff.
But they TRYYYY SOOOO HAAAARD!!!

Cool, I did some (admittedly brief) research on the subject but didn't find anything quite this informative. Thanks for the links.

If you read the original post you'd seehe was asking about the difference between 2X and 4X boards; the linked article compares AGP 4x and 8x.
You have been warned.
Laughing at the idiots who automatically think "ET did it!" sounds like a pretty good reason to me.
There's one slight problem with your idea.
Saying "we might be first" is very much like saying "we might be the only ones".
Think about it.

You could of thought this one more thought. Actually, you should of.
There, now I've driven him insane.
Mais um!!!
