The key here being round trip times, I'd multiply those figures by two. So the original comment was right, up to 40 minutes for a response. Not too good a ping;-)
Hmmm... China and India's combined CO2 emissions total about 70% of the United States levels as of 1995. Looky here.
Interestingly enough, their combined population is about 8 times that of the US. Don't blame the third world; while their industries are less equipped to deal with pollution control/reduction of any kind, the sheer volume of industries in more developed nations makes them much bigger polluters.
The reason lead is good for shielding is also the reason it's impractical to get up in space. Rememeber, lead is heavy, and it costs a lot to send things up in space.
Assuming you did, the whole point of the watermark is that it stays in place after compression/da-ad conversions/etc, so what stops them from sticking watermarks in the LPs or tapes?
Well, there's a taste for everything. Hell, some people like Britney Spears, does that make it good music? People watch The Young and the Restless, does that make it good television?
Of course, apples and oranges here in a way. I suppose there were *SOME* good things about Pinochet's regime that some Chileans appreciated, but I would hardly call him a "benign" dictator.
Make no mistake, as emperor, Palpatine is a dictator--but a relatively benign one, like Pinochet.
Wow, calling Pinochet "relatively benign" is about the biggest stretch I've ever heard of. Sure, beningn to the US and its economic interests, but I think any Chileans in the room will disagree.
The fact that Sega and EA couldn't be friends is, IMO, one of the reasons the Dreamcast got killed. Don't underestimate the power of EA Sports's games (which are re-released with minor improvements every year, so sales for their "series" are always huge) and the multitude of developers that EA publishes for. This *could* mean trouble for M$. Sure, they're only mentioning online play but what's Slashdot without a little extrapolation?
Sounds real interesting especially if you live in a coed dorm. You just KNOW girls are having pillowfights in their rooms and have their webcams on, right?
Hmmm... From what I gather there's a new modchip (or two) out there that allows an xbox to run unsigned code... Of course, the primary aim of this device is so people can play pirat^H^H^H^H^H BACKUP copies of their games, but running linux sounds like a good reason to have legit stores sell this.
I wonder if a program could spell grammar correctly... in any launguage.
Great flick. Funny as hell and a nice 80s soundtrack to boot...
"Self realization. I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said....'I drank what?'"
Good point. Wait for the expansion, or play good old civnet. Worked for me in MY high school days :-)

Oh, and sorry about the Geoshitties link.
This technology sounds like a lot of hot air to me.

Surely you mean watermarking?

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT.
You knew it was coming.
...and if you really want to do this there's a nice guide here.
Seems like MS has really covered all bases. Competitors can't try to Outsmart (TM) them for fear of legal action...

You, sir, have won the Too Much Time on Your Hands Award. Congratulations.

At least 90% of porn would have you think so
Here's the Google cache for those too lazy to find it themselves.
Black is "slimming". Nerds are not.

You do the math...
