Does anyone else experience terrible headaches after riding roller coasters? Usually it takes a few, but it seems like every time I go to Cedar Point or King's Island I leave with a pounding headache. If this is more common than I think; I doubt anyone reports it.
Many of the arguments against us being on the moon are that it is impossible for people to survive the trip, etc. So, if THEY can get there, wouldn't that mean it IS possible, and contradict many of the reasons people claim that the Apollo missions were faked?

If the Chinese didn't show us all gunpowder, who knows where we would be, so it is hard to say that anyone really owes anyone for their current technological state.
You make a good point; maybe they knew that many of us stopped watching the show a few years ago (seems so from the comments), and so they used the first hour to catch us all up on what we missed. It helped me follow along a lot better.
Funny, because in the newspaper here he was quoted as saying there was absolutely no chance of episodes 7-9 being made. I tend to rate UK journalism below US journalism just because of all the rumors they let fly around September 11th, (much more so than any other news outlet.) I can't recall specifics, but some of them were awful.
I do find it refreshing to read news from elsewhere than CNN and ABC/NBC/CBS, etc. though. I often turn to http://www.elmundo.es/ or http://www.lemonde.fr/
I tested the link and supposed vulns with Mozilla 1.0 RC2 and was unable to replicate. If anyone else can do so with the latest build of Mozilla speak up.
One more little complaint: If I have to hear someone say, "Me lady" or some derivative 50 times in 2.5 hours again, I am going to shoot myself. It was equivocable to someone writing a paper and starting each sentence with "she did this, she did that, yada yada yada".
I don't think Computer Science is the path for someone looking to be a SysAdmin. Maybe more along the lines Computer Technology (Here at Purdue we have such a program, I'm sure there are similar things elsewhere.)
It wasn't too bad, but you could notice it at times. Especially since you are going to expect it now. More annoying was the fact that the THX went in and out for about 30 minutes when I saw it, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
It was better than I expected, if you can ignore the terrible dialogue and total lack of any reason at all being demonstrated for Anakin or Padme for having any kind of feelings for each other outside of their obligation to fulfil what we already know will happen. Oh you killed all those innocent people, how sad, now get over here and make love to me you bastard. Where did this deep undying love come from? They had a brief encounter 10 years ago, she was a pretty girl, he was 9 years old. Suddenly 10 years later, after a brief meeting, and his raging hormones, they're in love? psh.
There were a few CG scenes that looked a bit cheesy too, mostly involving the mounting of large animals or trying to stand up while riding them.
Perhaps my favorite line was something along the lines of: "You'll always be that little boy from Tatooine."
My biggest complaint about the dialogue was that we aren't allowed to think for ourselves or draw conclusions. They might as well said something like, "and now I am wielding my light saber so that I may kill you, don't I look dashing?"
It was still entertaining, but I liked Spiderman much better. There are many many better movies, I couldn't dare to list them all, but it isn't the worst movie ever either.
LONE STARR: But, Yogurt, what is this place? What is that you do here?
YOGURT: Merchandising.
BARF: Merchandising? What's that?
YOGURT: Merchandising. Come. I'll show. Open up this door. Ha, ha, ha, come. Walk this way. Take a look. We put the pictures name on everything. Merchandising. Merchandising. Where the real money from the movie is made. Spaceballs - the T-shirt, Spaceballs - the Coloring Book, Spaceballs - the Lunch box, Spaceballs - the Breakfast Cereal, Spaceballs - the Flame Thrower.
DINKS: Ooooooo.
YOGURT: The kids love this one. Last, but not least, Spaceballs - the Doll. Me.
On the subject of batteries, wouldn't the number of liquified humans needed to provide sufficient food for the rest of humans exceed the number of humans in existence? Considering the average human already eats many many animals (not all of us mind you), animals which ate many many pounds of food themselves, I find this system to be pretty messed up. =]
1. -> Funny, I just saw a commercial on TV for a pretty violent game for GameCube, I believe it was rated M. Just found it, Resident Evil. Yeah, that's a kiddie game. Same goes for Smuggler's run.
I used to think the same way about the GameCube, but until I played a friends and realized that you don't need violence and extravagent plots to have fun games. I think it was some game with monkeys we played, forget what it was called.
It was pointed out to me the other day that much of the fan fiction is better than the stuff Lucas puts out nowadays. I haven't looked into it, but I'd believe it.
I waited a day too long for 12:01 tickets, so I'll probably just go see it over the weekend. It's entertainment, not life, not the end of the world, and certainly not the greatest thing to ever exist.
I've been using grafitti for a few years now, and it's still not 2nd nature to me. Sure I can write with it, but it's too slow for me. I've tried various software that will let you write on any part of the screen, still didn't help. I've seen some thumb keyboards for iPaqs that look slightly more promising, if you've got skinny thumbs maybe. Probably would hurt after awhile of use. I think data entry on a small device is difficult, I use mine mostly for data retrieval, and do the data entry on my pc.
People also pay for roads they never drive on, and many other public services they never use. The difference in this case is these aren't public services. They aren't necessarily available to everyone, and the money made from them isn't going into the right pockets. This is essentially a tax, but the revenue isn't going to the government, it's going to private citizens/businesses, whatever.
Although, they might handle it better than the government who just gave 10 billion to corporate farms so food prices will be lower and small farms can all go broke, wheee!
It happens all the time, dare I mention the O.J. Simpson trial, but a significant amount of incriminating evidence that wasn't obtained through proper procedures was not allowed. It makes sense, otherwise, what is the 4th amendment for? If the cops can walk into my house without a warrant, and find a crop of marijuana, they can arrest me, and I'll be convicted, because the evidence would be allowed; even though they didn't follow proper procedure. It can suck sometimes, but it does protect our freedoms.
The Intensity Scale is a far better measurement of the actual effects of an earthquake than the richter scale. The richter scale is simply a measurement of wave size, which may or may not have anything to do with damage/loss of life. The Intensity Scale gives factors such as the geography of the area some weight, and helps to determine how a 5.2 can kill 10,000 people in one place and no one somewhere else, even with the same constructed buildings.
If you can come up with a better way to quantify that, let me know.
As a person from the midwest, you don't get much warning about tornados either. Especially when there are a ton of severe storms all the time, you can very well head to the basement for each one. Many people in the midwest live too far from tornado sirens as well. Tornados are pretty fickle too.
The problem with the building codes is old buildings. Like the building I live in right now could in no way be built today the way it stands, but they can't make them tear it down or force them to spend millions of dollars to bring it up to code either.

Everyone knows this problem is more suited to logic programming anyway.
