Why support artists and not other independent workers? What is so special about a musician or a writer which makes him deserving of more protection than say a plumber or a shopkeeper?
Both. From the french side, an arrow was shot resulting in the death of a person. From the german side, a person was killed on german soil following the shooting of an arrow.
So you mean that a company that releases a firmware update for the sole purpose of screwing up homebrew "actually LIKES homebrew"? I'm left to wonder about the logic behind that. If they really liked homebrew, they would follow on the footsteps of Microsoft and release something along the lines of XNA Game Studio. That would show official support for legit homebrew while getting them more community support when dealing with the shadier elements of the current homebrew scene.
Not all employees. Just those "who knowingly support an illegal action". If Suzy the receptionist, Bill the janitor and Jake the help-desk guy know nothing about the illegal actions they are clear.
I don't know where you get your facts, but as a Chilean citizen who actually lives in Chile I can tell you these "natural rights" are not hard to claim at all.
Your model will only work if it is a correct model. How can you discriminate between an error in the model and an external influence? Both will manifest themselves as deviations between reality and the model. Your premise that "there is no magic" will lead you inevitably to conclude that the model is at fault, which would quite often be the case, but following that line when an external event was the cause of the deviation will only make your model more incorrect. Now, if your model con incorporate those "external influences", they would not have been external in the first place, would they?
Cheers!
P.S.: Not advocating either for or against ID. Just following the logic in the argument.
Hate to break the news to you, but software is the same. Only one entity selling (program you want). You can find alternative programs from other vendors, just like you can find alternative albums from other bands.
On Windows normal users will avoid the CLI because of its sheer uselessness. Compare what you can do on the Windows CLI with what you can do on the Linux CLI, and you see the appeal of making use of it in Linux. Now, OSX being BSD underneath, I would expect it to have a powerful CLI that the power user would make use of. As for me, all my Windows machines have Cygwin on them and I make heavy use of it.
We've trashed nothing. The whole point of sending us here is the development of global warming technology so they can actually inhabit the planet when they get here. We're not probes. We're just an alien-forming device.
Except you can remove the TomTom from the car and sell it aftermarket. The last time I checked an OEM EULA wording (admittedly some time ago) the license was tied to the hardware, so you could not transfer it separately from the hardware.

What it wasn't designed for is screwing by hand...
For that there is pr0n.

Since he proposes it's punishable by death, a graveyard would do just fine.
Prior art to when the patent was issued? Doesn't prior art need to be from before the date of the application?
Cheers!

By deflecting the protons towards themselves?
Agreed. This patent is not about sudo. It's about setuid.

Careful. With enough lobbying money, he might...

An informed decision with minimal effort. You just gave me the oxymoron of the day.
Cheers!

That goes a long way towards explaining the current state of healthcare...

Isn't that what courts are for?

Oh! You mean like an iPod Touch.

Not sure if I'm more freaked out by your suggestion itself or by the fact it got moderated insightful.
Cheers!

By your same argument, gun manufacturers' work is the critical step in committing murder.
