Then I was laid off and out of work for 9 months ( which is apparently minimal from what some folks have told me), found a new job that pays 20,000 less a year, thats a pinch, being out of work for 2+ years and having to take an $9.00 job is a punch. Basically Bush and the Fox-News crowd don't care, they have thier millions and could care less if the rest of us starve.
Then in the name of religion, they use issues like Gays, abortion, prayer in public schools... ( all issues they have used since Reagan and done extactly nothing about in the last 20 yrs) to suck in the voters from the religious right, that they would otherwise never get, to vote for them and continue looting the US, and throw the evangelicals a bone every now and then.
I have had enough, I plan to use the Reagan formula 'Are you better off than you were 4 years ago???' No, bye bye Repubs... it's that easy. I don't care if there is Gay marrige, cats and dogs living together, whatever as long as I can provide for my family. Thats the bottom line, the rest of it is window dressing.

IANAL, but have had a few a dealings with courts etc. A definition so broad to say Groups is any combination of 2 more people, so therefore you cannot take away anyone's license would'nt last 2 seconds in court. I've been here 17 months now. So I owe my last 2 jobs to monster........... I've also recieved about 2 dozen emails concerning job oppurtunities since I took the job here, all of them saw my resume on monster. So I've had good luck with monster.
I went alomost 15 years and 4 different employers and was never laid off, then one day poof....... It's complicated, partly related to meger and partly related to outsourcing (not indian, just another co. in the US). Point was I was out of work for the first time since I graduated from college in '87. I was NOT prepared. I hope you never get laid off, but keep resume up to date and keep a whole address book of contacts in case you do.

Sad thing is the tax cut cost the gov't something like 500 or 600 billion dollars this year, if we had just made up jobs for those 2.3 million people at $60,000.00 a year, it would only cost the Gov't 138 billion.
Exactly there is truth, lies and damned statistics..... the ONLY REASON THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE HAS DROPPED IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS IS THAT A COUPLE OF MILLION PEOPLE HAVE QUIT LOOKING FOR A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All these billions of dollars in tax cuts that the prez has handed out have resulted in a grand total of 60,0000 something new jobs being created (net) since all of this started. Now many of the same people want us to believe that by some unknown magic here (the same that was supposed to create a couple of million new jobs by now, not 60,0000 +/- 10000) that all of these new millions of jobs will be created??? I'm still waiting to see the first 2 million new jobs that were supposed have happened by now. A vast majority of that money will end up in some CEO's pocked will we the bright prospect of our children growing up and being able to work at wal-mart or starbucks or join the military.

It is not resonable to expect every member of your society to be a research scientist just to earn a decent living. What we are gravitating towards is a society composed mainly of very poor people controlled by a few very rich people. When that happens you should review your French history particlulary the period from say 1780 through 1812, give or take a few years. Alternately look at Russian history from say 1905 - 1920.

I thought I read somewhere one of the BSD's is built on a microkernal. After doing some research, I found that it is OSX Apple's variant of BSD that is built on the Mach mircokernal. Sorry about that. My point was that BSD is a good OS and if someone wants to use it for techincal reasons thats great, but they should'nt do it for the above mentioned reasons.
I read in one of Darl's interviews, he made the statement that once the Linux issue was taken care of, they would begin to look at other os's, he mentioned BSD by name. I really don't know the legalities of the BSD licence, but niether does Darl, nor does he care.
As I said I think BSD is a fine OS and if this guy wants to switch because he thinks it faster or more secure, or he wants a micro-kernal OS for some reason, then more power to him. I just feel it's a mistake to switch OS's just because SCO sent you a nasty letter.
