I have a different take, July/August school is out, March/April Prom and spring break. In other words, I think teenage pregnancies are hiding any thing else interesting in this kind of data.
The client will still be responsible for creating movement data (for example) and sending that to the server and the other clients, everyone will see what the cheater wants rather than what should actually happen. Roughly equivalent to weighted dice in your example.
Is it really retreating from your point when another point becomes more important? Using up our computer resources is a relatively small annoyance compared to interfering with fair use.
It could also be that the company is changing its policy to be more friendly to the social networking sites, which could necessitate a presentation on the possible dangers.
BONUS PROBLEM: Describe an algorithm which can be run within the confines of an operation system so as to determine whether the operating system is running directly on metal or is running within an emulation environment that is running directly on metal [or is running within an emulation environment that is running within an emulation environment that is running directly on metal, or...].
Display on screen: "Is this running in an emulation environment?" Take yes/no input from user
You don't have to analyze all the data, you just need to find out which bugs are on the computers that may have the data you want. (not that I think they're actually doing this)
The higher pitch (both siren and scream) are omnidirectional from the point of view of the source, but are easier to pinpoint from the view of the listener.
If this technology is getting implemented invisibly then why did it make front page news on slashdot?? Phail. Not even Echelon has been implemented invisibly.
Being implemented invisibly doesn't mean it isn't publicized. For example, converting broadcasts to digital in the US is being implemented invisibly. (for those that already have cable or a digital TV)
They wouldn't be using your money without your permission, by trying to play the song you'd be giving them permission. At least that's how their lawyers would probably argue it.
The 'original' (as in, the ones used at the time the placebo effect was becoming known) placebos were sugar pills and so sugar has become associated with placebos as a result. Modern placebos are generally inert in the context of the study.
I doubt you jaywalk nearly as much as you think you do. Jaywalking isn't simply crossing the street between corners, it's crossing the street between corners when there's traffic or crossing at a signaled crosswalk when the signal says don't walk. If you do jaywalk frequently, that is somewhat bad morally as you're irritating those around you for your own convenience. That said, you're right about there being a significant difference about morality versus legality and there seems to be a recent increase in laws that I would consider to go against morality.
Although if you think about it, playing the DVD in order to record it with a camcorder requires decrypting it as well. If you can decrypt it to record it in that way, you can just take the video stream and record that instead.
They were unable to find evidence because their researchers are lazy. Here, in just a few minutes, you've heard from two people who've seen arrows split. Visit archery forums and you'll find hundreds more.
I've read the thread so far, did a casual search, can't find any evidence of a wooden arrow being split. I don't feel like searching any more so feel free to prove me wrong.
I think so, but I don't think it worked for some reason. The more interesting bit was the simple technique that actually worked, holding a sheet up away from the body so it didn't get heated up and blocked the sensors.

Until pressure is put on the ISPs to ban use of any other P2P protocols because there's one that can be used for all the legitimate content.
You're missing the point, once you get to the point where you can't make transistors smaller, you can still make them cheaper.
And even with that little trust WoW still has teleport hacks and people mining from under the world.

Blind people don't have the option of looking.

It's right if you don't consider the other countries part of "the world." Which isn't too inaccurate for a lot of Americans.

Just overhauling the combat system would have been reasonable, but they also scrapped the skill system that made the game unique.

If they sold it, yes, but what if they gave it to the local doctors to be included in their medical file?

It is widely used, it is also a bad practice. It should therefore be criticized whenever possible.
Tell one group they're getting a placebo, don't tell the other group, give both placebos.
Alternate explanation: People are getting stupider and thus are more likely to fully believe that the pills work, making the placebo effect stronger.

"The amount that they can send is effectively infinite" is very different from "The amount they can send is literally infinite."
