    Best thing you could do is sell it, then buy a different brand.

    Most tools used in farming can be attached to any tractor. if you have something that requires a J.D. tractor, well, you bought into their ecosystem, your problem.

    For that matter, they haven't been doing this kind of shit for all that long. Buy an older one and refurbish it.

    ...the first tweet I made in response to someone (I forget now) that was critical of the Democrats, the account was suspended and they demanded all kinds of personal information so they could, "decide" if I were a bot or not.

    The number of students is not driving costs.

    Just go to any university during the week during the day and witness all the empty class rooms. At my son's campus, the school is pretty much deserted after 3PM.

    What's needed is a top to bottom audit of universities by an independent auditor. Odds are you will turn up all manner of activities and practices that would get people fired in the real world.

  7. In one sense, you are both right. For all the hysteria, nuclear deterrence has been instrumental in preventing major wars which were in fact quite likely given the giant political conflicts of the cold war.

    On the other hand, when laser weapons get to the point where they can take out nukes on all their various delivery platforms, they will undoubtedly be more than capable of taking out artillery rounds, tank rounds, small buildings, revetments, groups of infantry, etc.

    Kind of damned if you do and damned if you don't.

    Let's see how absurd that statement is when applied to other areas of business.

    Being a small company we don't have dedicated Finance specialists.
    Being a small company we don't have dedicated Accounting specialists.
    Being a small company we don't have dedicated HR specialists.
    Being a small company we don't have dedicated Engineering specialists.
    Being a small company we don't have dedicated Sales specialists.

    The reality is you better buck up and get one. IT isn't something you can do on the side like some Shade Tree Mechanic anymore.

    You apparently have no clue what Lock Out means.

    It is the process whereby you render a device completely inoperative and additionally, prevent it from being unintentionally reactivated. In almost all industries, it is an inherent part of the operation of the device. It is as ubiquitous as are seat belts. If you buy a dangerous machine, it most likely comes with instructions for locking it out, along with (literally) locks, flags, tags, etc. Hell, we just got a large air compressor at our plant and yes, it has Lockout instructions and tags.

    According to OSHA 78% of accidental deaths in the workplace occur because the equipment was not deactivated or was activated by another employee after it had previously been deactivated.

    The idea that industrial robots don't come with instructions for Locking Out is preposterous.

    When an airplane flies into a mountain, it's a pretty good bet that it's pilot error.

    When a robot crushes someone, it's a pretty good bet that someone didn't deactivate the robot before working on it.
