  1. More expense to the consumer.

    Same thing.

  2. LOL!

    You mean like, Tariffs?

  3. We re losing jobs because China and other countries tolerate working conditions, environmental transgressions, and things that would never fly in the US.

You CANNOT pick up a Chinese steel plant, drop it in Ohio, and operate it at the same level of profit as you can in China, even taking into account the wages and cost of materials. THAT is why US manufacturers go there.

Some people say we have outsourced jobs. What we really outsourced was the pollution and working conditions that would never be tolerated in the U.S.

Which begs the question: If it's not OK to manufacture things in the US under these conditions, then why is it OK to do so in China? If we import these items, are we not even a little bit morally responsible for the misery and pollution inflicted while creating these things?

  4. Cancer can and has been detected through odors by dogs.

Seems like that would be a much better use of this technology than would be just telling you if you stink.

  5. They sold it.

  6. 100 million years!

    Fuck!

We need new taxes and a hashtag, pronto!

A simple Android App sends all calls not in my contacts list to voice mail. Voice Mail is a 90 second screed on all the reasons I WON'T call them back and 90 seconds seems to exceed the time limit on most automated systems.

Only people who really need to talk to me wait through all of that.

Nope. Income taxes are individual taxes and unrelated to states.

States don't pay income taxes. YOU do. No matter where you live.

YOUR State is imposing extra costs on you, not any Red state.

The driver of the supposed inequity is state and local taxes.

    Nope.

Anyone who lives in a high tax state is going to get screwed and so be it.

Someone in a low tax state making $X should not pay more income taxes than someone in a high tax state making the same.

    * An entire webpage on Lowes.com about it, how it works, what it costs an cost savings.

It's a mess to be sure.

But if I were a copyright holder, I'd object to being put in a position where I would have to police the entire internet for my stuff and then go through the process to have it removed.

At least a single site operator would only have their stuff to go through. So then the question would be, how can the site operator tell what is copyrighted or not. So that seems like a more appropriate area for them to be looking at.

So...make the site operators responsible, but provide a mechanism that prevents them from having to hire a giant staff to review material.
