I once found a vulnerability on my local library LAN that let people run programs and access the internet when they shouldn't be able to. (like explorer, dos prompt (erase *.*))
I told the library about it, they ignored me at first. So a few weeks later I dragged a librarian over and gave her a step by step demonstration. It was fixed within a week, and they thanked me.
This is the reaction I got in a small town in Canada.
They'l figure out the biological signs of stuff like drug use, sex, etc and have the implant record that! Or better yet tell the cops, or even administer electric shocks to deter such activity, the possibilitys are really endless.
I protest! I'm into Ham radio (Basic, Morse, Advanced) and computers and it's not too much! Heck I'm even into guitar, piano, model kits, reading, music, and I still find time for it all! I even find time to study sometimes....;-)
I definately agree, Weber's stuff is first rate. He goes into such incredible detail in his books, the only real comparisan I can think of is Babylon 5. Now there's good TV.
I bought Half-Life after seeing a friend play counter-strike. I thought CS was very cool, so Valve got my $$$. If it wasn't for CS I never would have even looked at Half-life.
I've read as many of David Weber's books as I can find, some electronically, some paper. This way I can read all of them, and I don't have to wait until I can afford them all, though I'l buy them anyway eventually, paper books rule!
My library has an anti-theft system, it goes off EVERY day, ALL day. The librarian has told me that belt buvkles, pins, keys, etc set it off. It often acts more like a metal detector that an anti-theft device. So, it's ignored, if I wanted too, I could put a book in my pocket, set off the alarm, and get waved through it's so bad! Maybe these chips could fix the problem....
will they put these tags in our HEADS too?!? what if you take the tag from a laptop, and tape it to a bottle of beer? would it cost $2000+? or set off an EMP pulse in the store? would you be able to walk out with all the stuff you want?
the contacts on the cartridge AND the nintendo are probably dirty. Either get a nintendo cleaning kit, or take the whole thing anpart and use rubbing alcohol.
my nes isn't dead, it still works 11 years after getting it. Though that might have something to do with me taking it abart, and soaking the contacts in rubbing alcohol for a week, then scrubbing them real good before putitng them back in.
I played ALL the Keen games, loved them. Anyone remember Paganitzu, Major Stryker, Tyrian, Prince of Persia, or Blake Stone? Also great games.
When do we get ones about Gray Davis and the California recall?
Then I have some swamp land in Florida to sell them.
Some places even put your CC#, EXPIRAY DATE, NAME, & ADDRESS on them! Canada post is a great example.
Because when the power & telephone go out, Ham radio is a life saver.

Shhhh.... you'll give Osama & pals ideas!
Does this mean that everytime I buy a transistor or other RF parts that I'l gave to go through a background check?
You don't want her, she's good looking but is a real bitch underneath.

My Aunt (who is totally computer ignorant) asked me what the drawer on her laptop was for! She was rather suprised when I told her it was a CD drive!!

I first read The warlord of mars series when I was 12, I'd love to see it as a movie.
I found this on the net awhile back, hope it helps.
