I've just seen the images and I really think that if they wanted to do something like this, they could have spend some more money on making it look better, they could at least get the Morpheus glasses from Matrix2Sunglasses to make it look a little better then look at the couches, and is that a copy of Finding Nemo behind Gates?? Why does the code reads M$ products when they should be supposly be removed from the matrix (if they want to be the good guys), WTF do thos burgers back there?? is it related to the quote "A MSCCE is to computer science what a McDonalds food especialist is to fine cousine"??? Can somebody tell me what part of the movie are those two frames where are some agents on the street and then like one passing by a door with a plant in the back ?? When did he got the phone call?? and a repeated complain, what the hell is that KDE box doing there???

If knowledge and information is out there and free for anyone to learn, it will never be death, while if you close the information, and you die, then nobody else can ever use that and continue your work.

  13. Sorry on Handling User Grown Machines on a Large Network? · · Score: 1

I've been living the same problem in my University, and it isn't as big as US colleges with students living in dorms and bringing most of them their computers. While many of the other replys might work like just block ports and wait for ppl to complain, I know that for a big number of machines that would be a real pain to search for every single infected machine, so I don't find it a solution. Also seting up a domain is hard if u don't know all the computers that come into it. So our solution to the problem has been to just segmet our network as much as possible, and block all trafic for each vlan, each of our vlans grow as much as 255 hosts, so an infected machine won't hurt much.

I know that they have made their own testing, my point here is that using the 2.4.21 (even patched and tested by them) is like using a 2.5.x version, it haven't became a official stable, but is a development one, same with prepatched versions. I don't think that the newest is necesarily the best option all the time, take a look at RH 8, IMHO it sucks, they try to get all the latest version for everything and in the end I never found it as roboust as a RH 7.3.

    from the Kernel prepatch doc.

Prepatches may be poorly tested, and may in fact not work at all.

I don't think i could be a very good idea to realease something to the market based on something like this. If u r a particular user, with a particular need, and take the risk to try it out and get it to work is perfect, but think of how many people who get MDK to try out linux could get this one and run into problem, probably they will not like that at all and just stick to their old OS.

    Guess that's why I like deb :)
