Probably there are settings that you can turn the "sensors" off, since maybe you are listening to live broadcast, and unless these are some super timewarping headphones (or with a cache cabability for all real time streaming video apps) the "pause" will not always work.

Also why doesn't/. work on chrome, the +- thingy appear at the bottom of the story.
I don't care so much about the hr3200, but the idea put forward is brilliant.
Just to be able to debug/compile the law, run test cases - get all the faults out, and then release it. And then if somebody finds ways to abuse it, you can pass "bugfixes".
And if you have some questions about the law, you can hire a someone to do a unit test for you and see if it passes.
I'm not sure where you live. But in Iceland, if you buy and it breaks. We get a new one for free, if it is within two years of purchase, as long as we have done nothing to fault the warranty.
So an Xbox failing for me 18months after purchase, just causes me the hassle of going to argue with some store clerks, and then again to pick up my new one.

I was thinking some sort of actual code the legislation would be put into, so you could try to speed up this process.
something like
if(!patient.insured && patient.dying)
doctor.fix(patient)
if(driver.drunk>4)
police.arrest(driver)
if(bank.ceo.bonus>bank.profit)
goverment.tax(ceo,90)
and of course much more complex as cases call for.

It's EU consumer law (which we have adopted in Iceland, since we are not in the EU - directly)
It's on everything bought by individuals for 2 years, and companies for 1 year.
Good system - although things tend to break 2 years and 1 day after you buy them.

Hello ... Newman
You must be mistaken. rjstanford is the computer.
If you are working on or doing some cutting edge development then you might want to be paranoid.
But if you are making a CMS system or a web portal, then I probably wouldn't worry so much.
The time has come for edible USB sticks.
something useful could still come out of /dev/null if they are designed correctly.
