    I have a microswitch on my monitor to turn it on. Not the real on/off switch that would break the mains power. Now, is my monitor really off when I press that button? Or is it in some sort of a standby mode? :)

      You obviously never had a little child with severe diarrhea. Which is sometimes accompanied by a lot of vomiting. So everything you feed to your child goes out. If not in first few minutes upwards than in next few minutes downwards.

      Eating human? Please. There are many genes that are common to many speices. So, 'eating genes' that are present in pig/cow/horse/chicken... and human... Well, you cannibal!

    It's using open standards! They support open standards and they made a lot of people happy, just by claiming that. So now people can say, 'see, MS supports open standards'! The only problem is, that their file format is closed. It is in fact, if I remember correctly even patented.

    I think that lack of enthusiasm covers it. ;) Dryly is not such a bad pick. But I agree, there are better ones.

    Don't expect journalists to write masterpieces. I used to frustrate about this also, then I figured, hey, they are journalists, no J.R.R. in the name... :)

    90%? Maybe that's a little bit too much, but all in all, most other 'higher' languages are written in hm, well, C/C++.

    Using something that was written in C/C++ doesn't really exclude buffer overruns, just minimizes it.

    Ok, let's see... We are running Linux... Start vmware and run windows in it... and then install cygwin there... and then run wine in it... and again and in wine run Atari/Amiga emulator and then C64 emulator in it and in it we could probably squeeze in VC-20 emulator... ... ...
