Graphing calculators are so expensive and their price have been stable for so much time that some people are proposing they should be the new gold standard.
I think the parts, when analyzed separately, I doing OK.
Sure, that Metro interface for tablets needs some works and more apps. But it's good, just need some work. It's not fundamentally flawed. Those new tablets come with pretty decent hardware too so I think, if Microsoft can keep afloat while it's fixing things, it'll be good in the end
Sure, mixing Metro and traditional desktop on the laptops/desktops were a pretty bold move. But seeing those new ultrabooks with touchscreen that flip and turn them into a kind-of tablet.. I really wanna use Metro while I'm holding and then back to traditional desktop when I'm using in default laptop mode.
I don't know.. the signs of failure ahead are not so obvious to me.
- too expensive = agreed, for a device that is entering the market they should have made it a bit less expensive
- too confusing = kind of agree. they've made it clear x86 apps won't run, i think there are enough signs everywhere
- too lad = disagree, that would imply once a vendor grabs most of the marketshare, it's pointless to enter the market. macosx and linux should give up trying to grab more marketshare in the desktop/laptop space?
I thought Windows 8 couldn't run any games.
"Pro" doesn't always mean "Advanced user at home". Sometimes it's equal to "Enterprise with lots of Microsoft products (and cash)".
Why Windows 8 will fail...
Why Windows Phone 8 will fail...
Why Surface RT will fail...
Why Surface Pro will fail...

In my area I can safely assume >50% of people are in air conditioned environments. How would they detect it and ignore our data? Very tricky.
Don't care.
On the contrary, someone please make sure these people hear about it. Only then will the nonsense stop.
That way each one individually get to spend their current share without overloading the planet.
I don't see another solution. It seems countries have better _actual_ results in convincing people to have less children than using green energy.
I've no idea what they are talking about. Must be because I deleted by FB a while ago.
Let's not confuse readers. Please post GNOME3 hate posts below only.
We're almost there.
I think Telstra is doing a fine job on screwing .au

No, it was just a subtle suggestion that we picked up because we are so good readers. Right.
The next upgrade will surely make things fly!
Forgot to determine that no object should be in front of the sign as to obstruct the shopper's view.
Maybe they should. Except they never do and people die.
These people aren't bad drivers because there wasn't an app to show them how to be better. You have to dig deeper.
The current trend is: focus on tablets. Discard anything else as unimportant.
Agreed. All those dozens of hardcore gamers holding Linux back. Now they have no excuse!
This is getting out of control.
Looks like it. Since they are saying WP8 has >100k apps. They must be counting WP7 apps.

Once carriers start pushing W8 phones everywhere and users get to actually interact with those devices then developer interest will follow.
It's the cost of not being the cheapest or the first to market.
