War. War never changes. The Romans waged war to gather slaves and wealth. Spain built an empire from its lust for gold and territory. Hitler shaped a battered Germany into an economic superpower. But war never changes.
like Portland, OR? Probably more square footage of bookstore per capita than anywhere in the US. Even with Powell's, Borders and Barnes & Noble to browse, more often than not I bought from Amazon, 'cuz, new or used, they were cheaper, even with shipping.

I think many liberals are quite happy with this ruling. It clarifies that: 1) you can't outlaw guns 2) reasonable regulation is just fine I think it's a rare win/win. Very, very few actually want to ban guns altogether, but the nra and 2nd Amendment folks make it seem like ANY attempt to _regulate_ arms is an attempt to _outlaw_ them.
>AKs and such are still relatively rarely used in crime. Feinstein and crew knew this for a fact when they were busy pushing the ban. It makes you wonder what their real motivation was.
Perhaps it was the Tec-9 used in the 101 California Street shooting in DiFi's home town in 1993. While you and I know that the Tec-9 isn't a machine gun, it's one of the weapons covered by the law.
More like: don't cross in the middle of the block, go to the crosswalk.
I'm also a parent and see nothing wrong with eliminating a risk when there's no developmental benefit to exposing the child to that risk. (e.g. take the Phthalates out of toys). Expose the child to risks that will help him develop (e.g. don't use stupid hand sanitizers every 10 seconds, let them take the risk of getting a cold and develop a healthy immune system).
What happens if there's a nested dir? Does it also get merged with the nested dir on the receiving end? If so, I guess windows gui copy is more like rsync, while mac copy is more like cp.
Man! I should hand in my geek card. Bladerunner is one of those very rare movies that deviates greatly from a great book and still kicks ass. Can't believe I forgot to list it.
How about 'Forbidden Planet', 'The Day The Earth Stood Still', 'Silent Running', 'Soylent Green', 'Dark Star', 'Logan's Run'... Even 'Deathrace 2000', 'Running Man' and 'Robocop' had socio-politcal statements to make.

One does not simply "build up" in an earthquake zone.
He sounds like Steve Jobs.
Pah! Feanor did this way back in the Years of the Trees.
No elves, not as bright as a Silmaril. Lame.

Oh, what sad times are these, when passing ruffians can mod down a post at will. There is a pestilence on this land, nothing is sacred!
And 'we the people' through our elected representatives willingly invest our tax money
Hey! I'm just a bill, yes I'm only a bill, you insensitive clod!
Great sig:
The only way to ensure lasting peace is through diplomacy and not engaging in international dipshittery.

I can't see any positive way to spin this.

Learn it, know it, live it.
Let's not bring Jar-Jar in to this.
