I would mod up this a million times.. Wired's site was also the reason that I installed software to block ads. When I'm trying to read an article and suddenly it's pushed 3 pages down the screen because of some over the top BS, sorry.. Not going to take it..
This.. We occasionally will black hole domain names on our caching servers that are being used for phishing/spear phishing and general 'badness' that we come across in our network. It's easier to prevent our end users from compromising their computers by not allowing them to access a known malicious site than it is to deal with cleaning up a few hundred compromised accounts.
Just a thought of/why/ these sites might not be resolving.

When can we stop posting all this PR/crap/ about Kansas City and Google Fiber? Surely Google has plenty of money to advertise what they're doing. There are countless other cities out there that are doing the same thing, even BEFORE Google got out of the gate but you don't see those mentioned here on/.? Why's that? Is it maybe because the word Chattanooga doesn't draw eyeballs like Google does?
