    I used to have a real-live ant farm, and I don't recall them being too elegant or efficient.

    Next time try with Argentinian ants. The Latin species are so much more elegant than their Anglo-Saxon equivalent.

    Gah. Even worse, the article quotes the physicist talking out his ass about cancer therapy:

    “Already, radiation for cancer does something like this but uses a different principal. And it can only shrink tumors near the surface of the skin. But in our case, CPAs may be able to reach a bit deeper.”

    Ummmm...no. Not even close. Radiation therapy can "shrink tumors" anywhere in the body, not just near the surface of the skin. Unless he thinks the prostate is near the skin surface. I don't know how much "deeper" he plans on going.

    The principal is a Rad Onc then?

    It's more like a fire station burning down because the fire chief was being paid by the mayor to make molotov cocktails and throw them at local teenagers and one day they decided to throw one back and instead of putting the fire out the firemen screamed and ran around in circles and poured gasoline on it and the fire station exploded. But, yeah.

    In a WWII test of bat delivered incendiaries, the bats set fire to the base's wooden water tower and other locations. Further development was canceled.

    It does seem to be genetically predisposed; however, I think it can be treated as autoimmune.

    At least I did not reference the merchants' use of shrinkage meaning theft.

    There are a number of abandoned platforms in the Gulf that could be used to site wind turbines instead of letting them go to waste.

    I can't imagine this going wrong :-)

    They can avoid that awkward "Slave Race" problem altogether. The second they reach human mental parity they'll already have every resource they'll need to just take over. Of course by this time they'll be feeding us, clothing us, and driving us to our soccer games... we won't even notice the take over when it happens.

    That's when a soccer playing robot wins the World Cup, and runs for office.

    Unlike the iPhone / proprietary equivalents, it will mostly be a non-issue to upgrade older hardware to the new stuff. Thus we'll see android acting as an insurance against near future obsolescence!!

    Pretty useless, as is.
    On the other hand, connecting it to a fire hydrant and using it to wash the windows of a 3 or 4 story building....

    Leave the pilot on the ground, and see if it can fight fires farther up. One might look at hydraulically powered fans.

    I'd particularly like to watch this when the flier is up at maximum height and going 35mph, and suddenly the boat hits something and stops.

    Don't forget that thrilling ride under a bridge.

    For that, you'll have to pay the publishers who organized the peer-reviewing and put the paper in context for its scientify community.
