    It may have given "you" the perception you're in control, but you're not, you have been betrayed by every corner of the commercial industry. The only unique factor about Apple and the iPod is they've made the betrayal seem warm and fuzzy.

    You are confusing the iTunes Music Store with the iPod.

    I have purchased 6 iPods and currently use 2 (sold the others). I haven't purchased a single track from the iTunes music store yet my iPods are full of music I have legally purchased.

    I am fully in control of that music, as mentioned in the article. The iPod works perfectly with plain 'ole mp3 files.

    Now i just hit "start->control panel", click in the search box for something like "sound" and i get search-as-i-type results that are pretty accurate and take me right to the control panel i want to go to.

    Another feature stolen from OS X; specifically 10.4 Tiger.

    I absolutely would consider a design with all 153 redone topic icons.

    Why not kill 2 birds with one stone?

    Set a specific size for new icons and have another contest for all new icons.

    Require the new design to use that specific size and style of icon.

    Rather than learn to stand up for himself he will look back at filing a lawsuit to deal with a problem of growing up.

    Bullies are a problem and will always be a problem. The solution is to pop 'em in the nose and stand up to them. Take aikido, tae kwon do, boxing, or that fat ass could have just as easily ran a few laps to get somewhat in shape.

    For his entire life, he will remember that he backed down from bullies, handled being the "star wars kid" very poorly, and was a big fat pussy.

    Obviously, you have never been in the military.

    The last thing anyone in the military wants is a "fair" fight. Technology and training are used to tip the odds and make the fight as unfair as possible.

    And I suppose if you ever have to fight for your life you will agree.

  22. I can tell you my experience with Comcast & Vo on Comcast Accused of Blocking VoIP · · Score: 1

    I had been using Vonage with my Comcast cable modem with no problems for over 2 years. Last last summer, I started having severe problems with Vonage. Calls sounded like very poor cell phone calls and a 4 to 5 second delay from when I spoke and the person acknowledged they heard me.

    I called Comcast to complain. After 3 service calls in 2 months, I finally was tired of the problems and went with Verizon DSL for 2/3rds the cost of Comcast broadband.

    Vonage works perfectly again.
