    Yeah right. when ms ships it, I'll believe it.


    I can say that I am working on a FPS game that the chars each use 100,000 polygons and that it can show over 1000 of them at the same time and still maintain 300 fps.


    So the next time Carmack sets his specs, I can say that I was working on it years before him. I'm much more of a visionary than he is.


    It's who delivers that is important.

    However he is right about the broadcastig. You 'we want everything free as beer' people need to realize that it is the advertisers that pay for the airwaves and to a large extent the internet bandwidth and the people that provide the content. You start circumventing everyway to avoid advertiseing and soon you all of the free content will be gone.

    I have my Citizen/IBM Linux watch - not a lot of internal storage there, but it is my display device.


    I have the Toshiba storage device - there's all my disk space, tucked into my jacket pocket where it is out of the way.


    I have my cell phone, in an outside pocket. There's my Internet connectivity.



    I have my chest tumor from all the EM devices.

    Because some apps use drag and drop and others use an install program?


    I think you are right. Much better to have to download source, tweak it until it works, and compile it to install under linux.


    Or install something for windows and have a ton of registry entries and files all over the place.


    I apologize for Apple confusing you when you try to drap and drop and install program. It is very confusing.


    Of course the problem is that when you say something completely foolish like that, people forget about anything else you have written.
