Believe me, if the Government is involved TSA will be right there feeling your balls before you can get on the train.
The government already runs the passenger rail system and this is not the case, in contrast to riding on a private airline. The ownership of the transit service doesn't have much to do with how security is handled; that's up to congress.
You do realize that a significant portion of 20-24 year olds are unemployed because they go to school, right? Yours isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison.
Students and others who aren't looking for full-time work aren't counted as part of the labor force, so they don't weigh in the unemployment rate. It's a valid comparison.
the elderly hoarde the power in corporations and in society's rules such that the young can't get a foothold. young workers are underpaid and overworked in companies purposefully to support the perks for older dead wood in the company.
Sounds similar enough to the United States. Here, the unemployment rate for age group 20-24 is more than twice that of the 50-54 year old crowd.(http://www.bls.gov/web/empsit/cpseea13.htm) Even after they find jobs, they'll make far less money (adjusted for inflation) than their older counterparts made at the same age. Almost nobody in the younger group will ever have a job that offers a pension.
Things are chugging along well enough for most people here, but as the trend continues this will be a become a big problem and the legitimacy of the people who are pulling the levers will continue to decline.
Creating monsters out of somewhat dysfunctional people only makes the problem worse. "Tough on crime" is an intellectually lazy approach that doesn't help anyone but private prison operators.
Calling you an asshole is not at all a pollyanna response. Adding some misogyny on top of your general misanthropy isn't doing your social skills any favors, either.
I suggest a GPS that "sounds" stupid. Something that gives verbal queues that it should not be trusted too much. We can use some well known politicians as voice talent. On the other hand, I suppose their success invalidates my theory.
Don't dismiss your idea so quickly; in America, only half of people vote. Somebody has to win the election, even if nobody cares about it.
The difference being that most capitalist nations are democracies,
You're making a false distinction here. China is ruled by a nominally communist party and doesn't have open elections, but the actual form of the economy is quite capitalist. There's huge factories with workers getting paid $10/day to work 16 hours in horrible conditions with no union. The factory is owned not by the state or the workers, but by a billionaire living in Shanghai. For the peasant farmers living in the country, they have little access to electricity, running water, medicine, or education. The state provides them with nothing and sometimes even takes their land to hand directly to real estate developers. Nothing communist about it.
Also, the various dictatorships of the Middle East and South America from the past and present century were/are nearly all capitalist. What's the king of Saudi Arabia? A communist? Franco? Pinochet? Qaddafi? The kleptocrat nepotist Mohammad Karzai? Just a democratic facade. I don't have time to prove you wrong about the majority of capitalist economies existing in democracies, but it's a huge and highly suspect assumption.
Entry points include the system of lobbying and the highly paid private consultant who used to work with and can whisper the right words to people in government.
One of the most important entry points is right in the summary: the DHS is hiring big contracting companies to do this job instead of hiring some people and carrying it out themselves. Not at all unusual, but quite poisonous in my opinion.
Have you ever tried adding language support via a community developed plugin? Most of them are way outdated and only run on old versions of the IDE. The ones that do work are mostly terrible and don't provide nearly the level of language support as a default plugin.
Cultural imperialism is just as bad as economic imperialism. And you know what makes economic imperialism possible in the first place? A free market economy.
If you are suggesting that the United States hasn't caused incredible brutality, you are quite wrong. If any African slaves were still around, they would tell you so. The Indians can certainly still testify to it, and might do so here, if they had running water and consistent electricity on the reservation. Pro-business dictators in Latin America and the Middle East (installed by the United States) have caused more suffering than the worst of Stalin's purges.
Even so, modern day communists still seek to avoid the failings of someone like Stalin while building upon his successes. Liberal democracy makes no such attempts; it's just business as usual for centuries.
What's more, our institutions are arranged in such a way that this is the natural outcome. The state has colluded with business since the beginning of the United States; this is how the colony projects were formed. George Washington was the richest man on the continent at the time of the revolution. It is only natural that he (and others like him) set up a system that makes sense from their perspective.
At one point or another, the common man needs to set up a state that works for his interests. Eventually working Americans will grow tired of working to enrich others while they suffer from illiteracy and treatable diseases. They will seize control of the state and industrial structures and finally determine their own future. The biggest questions are when this will occur and will they have a plan for what to do after it happens, or will it succumb to demagoguery?
Considering that there are no other practical modes of transportation in most of the country, purely as a result of government policy, it's exactly like that. There is no choice in the matter.
If you ask whether I'd rather have surprise diarrhea while having sex or while making a speech in front of a thousand people, I guess I'd still have to pick one.
Perhaps they are unaware that the US and Israel have just recently made a computer attack against Iran, where there is no actual military confrontation.

Buying used still increases the scarcity of PS3's, allowing Sony to keep the price of a new unit high.
Not that individuals acting alone have any impact anyway...

What if she does die, as you suggest? The system will still be in place and will create a new one just like her.
Only by replacing the existing social order can we replace the conditions caused by it.

If you actually talk like this in person, then you are probably the most disgusting, insufferable asshole that anyone around you has ever met.
I'm sure Chris Russo's attorney would have quite a fun time talking about the libel were Markus to actually sue after doing such a thing.

The inmate could have gone out and found other wardens
No, he couldn't have gone out anywhere. He's imprisoned.
They are the same as Al Jazeera; neither will report anything that is bad for business.

While you're at it, teach them how to use vim. Knowing how to use the editor well will make all those little administrative tasks so much easier.
It doesn't seem at all to be an accident that a system designed by the rich would benefit the rich!
