OK, so it's hard to make talking look real. Do you suppose though, that it should be too hard to make the eyes fit? Every close-up shot of a face, the subject looked like they just sustained a severe blow to the head.

Have you ever seen a USB mouse? Granted, the single button on the trackpad is stupid, but if you're doing any mouse-intensive work you're not going to use a trackpad anyway.
When the Nazgul attack Faramir and his troops when they're sent back to Osgiliath, one of the soldiers is picked up by a Nazgul and dropped. He screams the Wilhelm on his trip to the ground.
They may be using the same resources, but without any of the banner ads.
This is BS. I'm using Microsoft's own Messenger Client (on a mac) and I'm provided with the option of turning off the banner ad. What purpose this serves MS, I'm not sure. But it's handy in debunking your argument.
This licensing thing is like Telcos forcing phone manufacturers to pay royalties. Which I didn't think happened, but in this day and age I wouldn't put it past them.
I'd think the changes you're referring to are completely necessary, but they're changes that should be made in a newer version of the same game -- the developers should release free patches for the improvements you list.
I would treat sequel games like I treat sequel movies -- something along the same lines as the first game, perhaps a continuation of a storyline, or a major jump in technological advancement in the game engine.
There, now I'm crying. Are you happy with yourself!?!

just throwing this out as an idea... i know a lot of people hit their karma limit by whoring, but usually to be a good whore, you've at least got to know what the subject is.
that tells me that many karma whores at least know what's ontopic, and limit their posting to the respectively.
perhaps making submission moderation a benefit of high karma would help weed out problems like this? then at least you wouldn't have the knee-jerk moderators deciding what submissions are accepted.

I agree totally, let the *people* go to space. My main point though, was that everyone should benefit from whatever we learn from space exploration. Say some entrepreneur-type finds something particularly ground breaking. Hell, let's say this person makes first contact with an alien organism. Say this organism isn't intelligent whatsoever, be it a plant, bacteria... something. What does Mr. LetsGetRich do? He lays claim to it. Patents it. Hides the discovery, and reaps whatever benefit it brings. Whatever.

While I'm dismayed that the government sees virtually no value in funding any space missions beyond the slow-moving International Space Station [http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/station/], I'm even more frightened when I consider that future space exploration may be limited to Individuals and Private Corporations, whose main concern is their own pocketbooks, and not the benefit of humanity. I would gladly welcome a global space organization that could put aside the petty world of greed & politics.

Those eyes weren't lazy, they were comatose.
I've also had good results with slices of cheese, but YMMV.
