I paid 2270 for my MacBook Pro 4 years ago, and I never regretted it. The machine still runs great, looks almost as if it were new, and accepts the latest and greatest software with no problems. Try that with a 450 $ Windows machine.
Indeed. But I don't think going interactive using technology will work well in front of 100 or so people, because the technology is made for facalitating interaction between two people or maybe a bot more, not for having interaction with a whole group. So for interaction with individual people some new technologies might be good, but they will also be very very time-consuming for the teacher. In other words: teachers shouldn't use technology because it seems cool, but because it saves them and the students time.
I can make a list like that for the Netherlands. We also have a very good aducation/university system, but our government is working hard to change that.
Most of the car sounds you hear in cities are made by the tyres hitting the road. So the noise level of a normal car going 50 km/h is not much higher than that of an electric car at the same speed.
Oh I hate that so much. I bought all Harry Potter films in the cheap version, and every time I want to watch one of them I have to sit through a clip that tells me not to steal movies. I BOUGHT them you moronic retards! Can I just watch the movie now?!!
Finally someone who talks sense. It's so easy to say that everybody and his dog should have access to the source code of my pacemaker, but then what? I sure wouldn't want my doctor to change the software because he thinks he knows better than the experts at the manufacturer's. I think it's completely useless to have anyone but the manufacturer have access to the source code.
The first time I used my TomTom I was sent into a field close to my destination. "Turn left," it said, leaving me very surprised. It turned out later that there was a small road there in better times. I often have problems of this kind, even though I keep the thing up to date as much as I can.
Of course not. Those dudes are basically saying that they don't trust the hardware they sell, but you can buy more warranty to stay out of trouble. Of course no one in their right mind would do that.
How long did it take the Euro sign to get easily usable by computers? I think much longer than they predict for the rupee sign. These things take time, but a short time in comparison with the lifetime of the symbols in European and Indian society, so don't worry about it too much.
So actually the project is a succes. I always thought it was a total failure due to the constant bickering, the interference of MS, etc. I stand corrected. Thanks you.
I like cooked spinach. Is there something wrong with me?

The soundtrack is an EPIC WIN!
There, FTFY.
Land of the Free! As long as you don't tell or show anything the government does not want to hear or see!

I see a new James Bond movie in the making here...

So we agree. It's nice that the obvious is sometimes proven by science.
What's your point?
It's nice that the obvious is sometimes confirmed by science.

But does this ruling mean you're now allowed to circumvent the region code on DVDs so you can watch a DVD you bought in Europe in the US?
You Americans can be so funny sometimes. Thanks for making me laugh.
But those are all hardware companies... oh, wait... But I did score a Funny! :)
Embrace, extend,... thrive! I guess.

I wouldn't even want to be friends with someone who writes like that.

If a third party decides someone has committed war crimes she can be tried, wether she was a winner or not.
And on Palestinians.

Yeah, we need a new icon for MS related news. A monkey would do.
