What SDF-7 said:). But if you get rejected just because of some pictures then you'd better think if you really want to work for the company that rejected you.
I read 'cumulative vomiting' and thought it was some new artsy thing people do in the States.

If they ripped it off Apple they did a pretty poor job because it's dead slow compared to OSX, especially when waking up or switching users. Luckily you don't do that often in a day. But for the rest Windows 7 is pretty decent if you ask me. Much more useable than Vista.
Rice is very slippery, and therefore dangerous to have lying on the street, because the grains are round. Bird seeds are flatter. Another thing is: wet rice is slippery because of the sticky substance that it turns into.
The only part of your post that I have a problem with is this: To do all this I gave up the features that are important to you but got features that turned out to be important to me. I never said anything about my needs so what do you know about them?
I knew I would get modded down of course because if you say anything that looks even remotely like downgrading Apple or Apple fans you get modded down here on Slashdot.
Apple has a very dedicated herd of followers who buy everything Apple throws at them. Now they all have an iPad it's time for the next iPhone to be bought by them and crank Apple's stock up some more. After the iPhone there will be new Macs the herd will absolutely need, and after that it will be the next iPod versions. And so the game goes on.
Your sample size is too small. Besides, you never hear stories like: "My grandfather ate fries and burgers with lots of mayonaise, cola and salt every day, and he died when he was 15."
I don't know. Microsoft finally has some serious competition now, and they have to take care of the quality of their products. I like the ribbon in Office 2007: if it's even better in Office 2010 I will buy that software package for sure. OpenOffice is not all good, you know.
The ad never even shows what that weird thing is those people are carrying. Is it a sort of PhotoPod with which you can send hpotos to other people in the neighbourhood?
Yeah, it seems like the USA is slowly going back to the Middle Ages. Ignoring strong scientific evidence, torturing innocent people, a government that ignores the needs of the normal people... Luckily Obama has put a stop to most of this already. Let's hope he can turn the process around and make America sane again.
You're right, I only read the first sentence of the question before replying, so my reply was totally off topic. That will probably cost me some karma.
I'm not an expert on tsunamis but I understood that tsunamis start as very low waves that roll over the face of the ocean for many many miles before reching land. Only where the sea gets less deep they turn into the ferocious waves that destroy everything. So even if you could see them then with a satellite you would still be warned late.
Like me. I'm so happy I could fold my company after three months! No one was interested in what I had to offer, and I learned that I much rather work for someone else than myself.
Brilliant post. You certainly deserve a +5 Informative for this. I learned all that stuff about lead in High School, but I had a teacher who was a nuclear scientist before he came to my school.
I don't get the problem. Can somebody explain what this is really about? To me it really looks like a solution looking for a problem. Or are most banks outside the Netherlands still living in the early 2000's when you were required to use IE for their online stuff?
How many children have the OLPC already? Three? Wouldn't it be better to focus on cheap production methods instead of adding the latest fad?
MS wants to sell all the Kins that were produced, which is logical from their point of view.

You can also place only 'normal' pictures on the internet. Think before you upload!
They certainly can, but they can't take the whole company like they could with GM.
BP stands for British Petroleum. If BP was an American company Obama would probably already have taken it.

They should have made a demo in Flash so everyone could see it.

Another thing is that we have much a longer warranty period on new goods than the US. Apple has to pay for all the repairs within this period too.

She looks nice. She's got a beautiful face and body. But I bet you didn't see that, focused as you were on her breasts.

I was in a Prius taxi once. Man that thing was fast! I went like a chased rabbit, also around corners.

Oh boy that movie was just about as much fun as Clippy was.
