    I'm sure a lot of folk think that their field of knowledge is vital stuff to know. Automobiles are a significant part of our society, yet is not knowing how combustion engines work as bad as being illiterate?

    Besides, fewer people that know programming means more job security and less competition for me. :P

    Yeah, how do people get from a building in one city to a building in another? The precision required for this trajectory is well beyond what most could do . . . unless they had some kind of mysterious mechanism to continually alter their course during their travels. But such is obviously beyond our best engineers.

    I presume that the team is well aware of this. My bet is that the breaking down of the cells would be over a long stretch of time, thus the benefit of having a bunch of the dye while there is only a small amount of it accumulating in the tissues at any point in time.

    First of all, the Linux userbase is really small to begin with. Within that small userbase, you have two relatively large groups:

    1. The ideologues, who really believe in RMS's idea that proprietary software is unethical. 2. The cheapskates, who aren't going to pay for software.

    But unfortunately my computer broke a while back, and buying a new one is waaaaaaaaaay out of the question. :/

    Though I still am working on the server side of the game for the competition, since I can still can operate it with a CLI. Probably won't be done for submission, but it's something I want to work on anyways :D. I'm a CS student in need of coding practice anyways, and I'm one of the crazy mofo's trying to write it all in c.

    If a robot is taught or programmed by a human, it is liable to make the same mistakes as the human. If it is self taught, it is bound to make a whole lot more mistakes in the learning process, which likely never ends.

    Normally I'd agree with you, but in this case bytes is better than bullets, IMO. If the future of warfare is more about breaking machines and less about killing people, well it is a step up.
