I'd like to know what the fuck this "life" is that everyone is always ranting about. Apparently spending your days sitting on the sofa and watching reality TV is a "life," but spending the same amount of time playing WoW is not. Being a completely useless, miserable fuckup is all fine and well as long as you're not playing WoW.
I was a fan of Baldur's Gate as well, but there's just something about DA that's giving me a bad feeling. I can't put my finger on it, but something feels off. In recent years I've wasted far too much money on AAA titles where the AAA apparently stood for Abomination & Atrocity from Ass (hello Fallout 3), so I'm being very cautious now. But there isn't a demo available, and I can never bother with piracy because it's too much of a headache. I might take a risk and buy DA, but I'm not sure yet.
How about we embrace that concept "land of the free" and just let people enjoy liberated speech without fear of jail time? Arrest the rapist, or the murderer, or the thief, not the guy who just happens to have the photo of the event.

First Person Shooters ruined the game industry for me. The games are without plot and are entirely brain dead in the attempt to finish any sort of tasks.
Newsflash: the typical video game has always been brainless and/or lacking any real plot. Most FPS games today have a plot and narrative anyway. There's a big difference between Doom and BioShock.
Then we will all be stuck with the next FPS that is just point and shoot with new pretty graphics and no plot.
