Fortunately, there are still plenty of free and low-cost music-hosting alternatives [sorry, I haven't checked ALL these links recently, but most should still be good. I am a lazy sod.]:
I'll say you are. You included mp3.com in your list.;D
Why why why why why why why WHY do they insist on saying that these people use the companies' websites to trade files?! Jesus fuck-me-in-the-eye Christ!! Okay, get this - I might blow some of your minds here but hang on, the payoff is worth it. They use this little thing (which they happen to get from the website) called (are you ready?) an application. Mmkay? They use the application to do this actual trading. Yes, Kazaa is a program (a different word for application), not a website. Uh huh. Napster was a program too and, again, not a website. Go forth with this newfound knowledge and unfuck yourselves... morons... ack!
A good knowledge of physics and thorough examination of the accident scene can get you the same results as one of these black boxes. Why do you think they used to measure skid marks and debris fields? This is just replacing the laborious process of making all these measurements and analyzing them. This box is now the prosecution's/defence's expert witness.

I guess putting in "archive" instead of www doesn't work anymore. I tried and it just put me through to the front page. Oh, well. Google News usually works.
Do you think these bills be deemed counterfeit or damaged if you ran these through the microwave for a second or two to destroy the tags? I really don't like the idea of my money being tracked so easily. I'd feel the same if all my money was scanned at the till for the serial numbers and then tracked that way. This is not cool.
Spammers use open (unsecured) SMTP relays. There's just no way to make people secure their machines. How are you going to track down who isn't? Start a special division? Great idea. How are you going to pay them? Why with the money from this new tax, of course. It would get bigger and bigger, trying to justify new tax increases to cover the costs of collecting those taxes. Great idea. Now, if a company gets fined $100,000 for a spammer using one of their machines to send 100m emails, do you think they'll stand for it? No way in Hell. There would be special provisions made for them or it would be repealed.
I have wanted to beat my old roommate about the head and neck for his refusal to flash vehicles at night that didn't have their lights on. His reasoning? He was told in a drivers education course that this was illegal. I promised that I would pay him double whatever the ticket was if he EVER got fined signaling someone to turn on their lights at night.
I've tried looking for this law (I'm in Florida) but I haven't found anything about it. Do you have any info?

Use Trillian for windows or Gaim on linux w/ the Gaim-e plugin. It uses RC5 encryption and GPG keys to authenticate between hosts. The only thing is, both parties have to be running the same client.
Thye're only selling to people who want the edited versions. Despite their supposed agenda, whoever may be buying these verions is getting what they wanted.

They probably dislike it as much as some people hate being called a geek. Fuck'em. They should take it as a term of endearment.
