    No, this is similar to saying "If your computer isn't plugged into a network, but you haven't disabled your internal NIC in device manager, your computer is vulnerable."

    The lines are blurred a bit because Bluetooth is a wireless technology, but their point is you don't have to be actively connected to anything to get hacked.

    She's not being compelled to be a witness against herself... The hard drive is a piece of evidence that is in effect a "witness" against her.

    It's like you're hiding a dead body in the trunk of your car... and you've modified it with a special lock that cannot be forced. This is the equivalent of them getting a warrant on searching your car, and you being forced to come up with a key.

    I'm using both Firefox 6 and 7 (Aurora) on my Mac (though not at the exact same time...), and they're both running as 64-bit processes. Are you SURE that the corresponding Windows versions aren't running in 64-bit? That doesn't sound like something Mozilla would do...

    You have several options...
    1. Find someone local you know to buy/download it for you. Have them burn the file to a DVD.
    2. Find someone you trust online to get it for you and mail you the DVD.
    3. Download it from work (becomes more of an issue if you don't have a Mac laptop, but still doable.)
    4. Local Coffee House/McDonalds and plenty of coffee...

    No, it was in production. But I had access to everyone's statement as part of my job anyway, so it wasn't that bad of a thing.

    I did that at a bank I was working with. It was actually a hidden form variable with the institutions username/password, but grabbing that page before it auto-submitted allowed me to pull anyone's statement. I showed it to my manager, and eventually got a promotion out of it. :-)

    Look at it this way... Why are you setting the time period at 2 years when the iPhone comes out annually?

    $199 + 12 months * $40/month + $375 early termination fee == $1054
    vs.
    $649 + 12 months * $25/month == $949

    What's to stop a child pornographer from keeping his WiFi access point open, then claiming that it wasn't him when he gets busted? It sounds like a repugnant "insurance policy" for someone that wants to break the law.

    I worked for a Fortune 500 company (who shall remain nameless) that distributed the Cisco VPN client with the group password already set. I took the config file and Googled the hash, and came up with the password. Turns out that's the same password they used for the Domain Admin. I'd be surprised if it didn't go to other important things as well...
