And those people are the same ones that buy a high powered Android tablet that runs like crap, then come on here just to bash the tablet that makes up 90% of the tablet market sales.
As someone from the area, I think there's more going on than that. I was visiting my grandmother (who lives in West Memphis, AR) a couple of weeks ago, and I heard several loud explosions. They actually created shock waves that we could feel. When asked about it, she told me that the local authorities have said that there is some kind of classified stuff going on for the department of homeland security. They supposedly have a whole area that looks like an Iraqi town for training purposes.
As to the explosions, it's anyone's guess what it could be. Maybe they're testing ways to generate earthquakes, or maybe it's totally unrelated. If it's true, I wish they would stay away from the New Madrid Fault.
Voters are stupid. I live in the Memphis metropolitan area... We have city council members that keep getting elected that have committed fraud, shoplifting, and are alcoholics (one recently got caught illegally obtaining a license in a neighboring state because her Tennessee license was revoked for repetitive drunk driving arrests.) And yet, the people keep voting for them...
It's the same reason Rahm Emmanuel will become the next mayor of Chicago, and everyone knows there's tons of corruption going on. He didn't even live in the state for the prerequesite amount of time, but he found a court that would let that slide.
They've had their crazy stories, but the National Enquirer has broken several stories that the mainstream media figured out later... Just a few: - Bristol Palin's pregnancy - John Edwards' affair - Jesse Jackson fathering a child out of wedlock - The first anthrax attack - Found the murderer of Ennis Cosby - Lewinsky scandal - Finding pictures of OJ Simpson wearing the shoes he denied owning in court - Rush Limbaugh/Oxycontin scandal
The defense's argument is not that George Hotz isn't responsible. He is responsible. The question is whether or not what he did was illegal. They're arguing that there is little difference between jailbreaking a phone (legally exempted in the DMCA) and a console (still illegal per the DMCA.)
"The Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act would require electric cars and hybrids to make noise"...
And to facilitate this request, Toyota will be installing standard a special horn that plays when you press on the steering wheel... also known as "The Horn".
Directions for Managing Satellite (in case of apocalypse):
1. Construct from the rubble of buildings a space craft capable of reaching low earth orbit. 2. Using plastic bags from the local grocery store, construct an air-tight spacesuit. 3. Fly into low earth orbit, space walk, repair damaged satellite (see "Satellite repair manual", Volume 2,304) 4. Pray the enemy that just destroyed civilization doesn't develop a way to jam satellite signal.
You're right... we should just slap him in the face. Once for every spam message sent out from his servers, which would be 1/3 the spam sent out for the last decade or so.
Your analogy is broken...
This is more like finding worms eating a corpse, and then saying it's proof that the worms must have been there when the person was living.

On top of that, we can ALREADY send messages to the future. In fact, we've been doing it for millenia... :-)
Hey, this is awfully close... and it has Jay Leno!

Yes yes, we all saw the movie too.
Apple will of course rebrand FLAC as Apple-FLAC, or AFLAC for short.

Intel is doing something I don't like... Let's all boycott Apple!!!!!
Are you going to boycott Intel chips too? That's a lot harder than you think...
Just this morning, I was thinking:
"That guy just cut me off. I should totally sideswipe him and run him off the road... Nah, that would probably land me in jail."
If this takes off, I'd be writing this from my free Internet connection in prison.
1492... *facepalm*

Need I go on?
I was wondering why their server rack was in a fireplace...
Yeah... An aerobics class is more like a gang than D&D by that definition.
On a side note, I wonder if they ban Mafia Wars on Facebook?

Maybe if you had more education you'd know the difference between "your" and "you're"... Just sayin'...
Double-tap home, find it in the list, tap-hold, click the minus sign.
That's funny... My boss did. So did two other people that I work with, and two other friends.
Actually the last PC in the article compared PC/GEOS to Windows 3.0.
