Jesus, are you fucking kidding me? Have you ever taken courses at a four-year college?

Forget the fact that the majority of college profs barely touch a piece of chalk/dry marker during a lecture. The second time you had to tell a prof to step to the side of the whiteboard so you could snap a picture before he erased and continued, you and your digital camera would be at the registrar with a drop slip faster than you can say "Not in my class you don't".

  2. Speaking from experience on What Kind of Tablet PC to Buy? · · Score: 1

    Just get a laptop.

There isn't anything the Tablet PC's are doing right now that make them worth the price/performance cost. The Handwriting thing is cool, but not yet up to snuff compared to just straight typing. The detachable/rotatable is, again, cool, but more of a gimick in real-life use. Outside of that the big feature is wireless connectivity, but these days that's not that big a feature for a laptop (perhaps even getting close to standard).

Tablet PC's tend to be underpowered, and have a "unique" (read, difficult) form factor when using one. For the price you can get a tricked out Dell that has twice the power, twice the battery, three times the screen quality, and probably about 5 times the useful lifespan.

Don't get me wrong, in another 10 years the Tablet PC's or something very much like them will probably be the best thing going, but right now laptops are still where it's at.

Also, I can't believe I haven't heard mention of Derrick Thomas from Techmo SuperBowl. Made Lawrence Taylor look like a wimp. When Derrick was in "Excellent" condition I could rush the quarterback, and if he managed to throw the bomb, get back on defense before the pass got to the receiver. Derrick is literally a force of nature on that game.

It's been my experience that Ad-Aware is pretty close to useless in it's current state, at least for the freeware version. It doesn't find half the things Spybot finds; from what I've heard Lavasoft hasn't updated Ad-Aware's signature files for while.

I haven't used it for a while though, so someone correct me if this is no longer the case.
