Sorry, bull... You can say alot of bad things about MS, but they do have *load* of docs (see other reply with link to msdn). Also, they are fairly good actually to keep their old APIs in there (hence a fair bit of bloat!). VIdeo for Windows for example is still there, that came along in windows 3.1, even if it's nowadays recommended you use DirectX et. al.
Funny, most americans I met has actually been just like... people in general, really... That americans are stupid is just one of those rather nasty urban myths. ppl like you makes us europeans look like fucking twats, thanks.
We might have a bit. Or rather, many think americans are quite snotty, bragging about their country, ignoring anything else" etc, etc. so when we get a chance to get even we grab it!;-)
True though, doesn't make us europeans look too good really, doesn't look slike we're any better really! Apologies...
Than look at Australia, which got a better 3G network than the states and has even less population density.
Not too sure that's why this is.
mind you, US isn't that far behind anymore when it comes to mobile technologies, they're catching up rather quick.
Just because they not agreeing with all what you think doesn't mean they're stupid or just mess up things for a laugh. Sure, I don't agree with alot of the later american politics, but they have done alot of good things as well while they been around. Credit were credits due, etc, etc
Sure, if you program in assembler, your code will be cleaner, faster and has...
Not neccesarily with todays modern, heavily pipelined and super scalar CPUs. Usually a good compiler will do better optimisations than than most programmers. Well, not saying it's impossible, but still a very hard job. True for a good ol' HC11 one might as well write it in asm.
Don't be to sure about that.. States are usually rather quick to get there once they got some momentum behind it. Read somewhere (sorry forgot where) that the US isn't *that* far behine anymore, so maybe it's time for us europeans to stop taking the piss so much, or rather, rub it in while we got the chance!;-)
Funnyv (well not really), have had pretty much the same message on my mobile phone here in the UK, my mates in sweden got them as well on the swedish network. Wonder if they're the same or if the spammers picked up the idea from those sms messages...
Ah, true, never though about that! Still though, good info, didn't know I could upgrade my t68 to a t68i. Funny got my t68 for 'free', left my t65 in the shop for repairs (it sucked big style - switched itself of several times a day) and got back a t68, oops, can't complain!;-)
You do not have to give it away, you're fully entiteled to sell it for whatever price you want. You do need to give the source along with it and also allow the buyer to do as he/she wish with the software, so you can't really have per seat licencing. WHat you can earn more money on would be support/upgrades/tweaks of said code. DOn't think it can work? Look at most Linux companies today. They seem to be able to make a business out of it. Hey, I don't believe closed source software will go away completely and I do think some of Stallmans ideas are a bit extreme IMHO. But credits were credits due and don't put words into his mouth. He demands nothing from you - he tell you what he thinks, which is quite a different thing.
Trust me he has given away far more milk than you ever will. If it wasn't for stallman there wouldn't be much of an open source/free software movement.
.tidal forces from such a sharply bounded gravitational field would reduce you to a monatomic fog long before you got that close.
Now that would be something to tell your grandchildren about...
printf's and such are not all bad. Sometimes you get errors that only pop up if running at full speed, not stepping through the code. I usually use the good old fprintf() and/or cerr in order to track it down. But true, debuggers and tools such as Boundchecker does help shitloads when hunting down some stuff.
HEy, I got an old PCI nvidia TNT card in my box, and it suits me just fine! mind you, not playing games...
try the lo-fi theme and hide the personal toolbar, very nice IMHO.
nah, we're just open-minded! ;-)
remember, beggars can't be choosers...

Not sure you could call it defense really, but compared to a full-scale invasion of Japan, the cost of live was comparably small.
Just because they not agreeing with all what you think doesn't mean they're stupid or just mess up things for a laugh.

One could always mine on the dark side - there ever is an issue
Would be rather spectacular if it tried to catch while flying in the other direction! ;-)
sometimes you wanna drive fast without a helmet - where's your balls!!?? ;-)

please repeat:
I'll never, ever gonna confuse Javascript and Java ever again since it makes me look like clueless little wannabe geek.

The next AmigaOS would be a contender as well - even if it now looks like they actually will have something to show v. soon

repeat after me: ;-)
shooting someone in the head - good, makes you go to heaven
tinkering with kernels - bad, gives you hairy palms
