That is absolutely wrong. From my personal opinion, you once had the chance to refresh your system by adding a new graphics card in its lifecycle. However, that still meant that you'd have to play the newer games on medium rather than on high quality. So I'd say for a real gamer PC you have to spend your 2k US$ budget initially (we're talking about Eurpoean prices here) - you can do a video card update after approx. 2 years but then it's not long until you have to build your next machine all over again.
Personally I think that the fun/cost ratio in high end PC gaming is terribly low nowadys...
I owned an original N-Gage back in the days and even if it seemed to be quite fun for some to watch me talking "Taco-style" most of my friends got used to it and eventually I ended having phone which was more technically advanced than every other one. Even the real expensive business-class Nokias fell short in terms of features.
I had an mp3-Player with lots (back then) of storage and an external speaker that functioned quite weill, a radio, games, a USB-port (!) and last but not least, a Series 60 system that beat even most of the earlier mentioned businness-devices in therms of functionality. Hell, I even had an app that allowed me to let my phone change profiles when I entered certain areas (cells) like my campus. Even my current phone, years after this, isn't capable of doing half of it. And it (would have) cost much more.
The Nokia N-Gage was, if you could cope with holding it sideways (why not?) and carrying it around (it was kind of bulky but so were most of the other feature heavy phones), a blast. And in terms of running homebrew apps and games, a Geek's dream machine.
I can recommend the iAudio's by Cowon. I own a M3 for almost 2 years now and especially in combination with my AKG K 26 P headphones it is great. If your're looking for excellent sound, this is the way for you to go. My brother owns a newer M5 and is also very satisfied. Plus, it is recognized as a Hard Drive via USB without the need of any special software, so you should't have any problems with your Mac as well.
Friends of mine have been confronted with demandings of some thousand s for sharing songs. No case was taken to court so long, and most of the time a smaller fee was payed to end the story
It is not clear if sueing someone based on illegal evidences (gotta have gotten your Adress over your IP from someone... hm... provider...) is legal...
That may be correct for human beings, but I think ive heard about bacteria that are able to live even in hot springs somewhere in Island... (ok, dont quote me exactly on that, but if you like i could look it up) Lifeforms like this are not bound to earths climate, atmosphere, etc...
Dont expect little green men, but who knows if there will come little little tiny microbes? Some of these even survive in the deadliest environments, why not on earth?
Good God. I remember my first step in Logo. Got little cars drive over the screen on a little street. Next Thing: Turbo Pascal, I loved it. No I didnt. I mean it was nice but not that cool. Quite informing in a way but not the real kick. The next step was Visual Basic. Very nice: Little work - nice looking program. But this is all fake. If ou really want to get serious, you soon learn to hate it. Whatever, this is only my personal experience. So, what to do? Start with C++? Heavy, but worth a try. The question is, whether a 13-year-old has fun with that kind of language. I would prefer the LEGO robots. Actually I think I will get one of theses sets...
It think this isnt new. There already is that Ericsson Add-On that is quite similar to this phone. Well, you cant cahnge memory cards with the Ericsson one, okay. The idea sounds nice, but in fact its not really useful. Short battery- life, worse playing quality, ridiculous storage capacity. Who wants that?
what you mean with "Q III not fast enough". Hmmm. Sounds to me like you have some hardware problems. Or your drivers just refuse to work properly. Or... I cant think of anything else even thie two reasons are just unbelieveale and completeley impossible... not fast enough... no... Okay, I also love the original Quake version, although I must admit that I also used the one and other cheat to finish it back in... a few years ago. But dont take me wrong: Multiplayers just dont cheat... Their skills develop directly propotional to the time they waste in front of their monitors. Thats my theory. I must be a special case. Just not talented I suppose:-)
a) Angelina looks dead good. I saw her in "The Bone Collector", man, the last five minutes have been really fine... b) This doesnt matter because Tomb Raider b1) isnt a good game anyway, b2) can never be a good movie. Simply impossible. c) However, it will be a top movie cause there are too much of that horny gamers out there awaiting to see gorgeous Angelina acting like a female Indiana Bond. CU in the cinema...

Still waiting for a Hi-Octane sequel... awesome game!
As I said...
The 120 GB drive will come down to $149. Additionally, the 60GB drive will retail with some extras (ethernet cable, 3 months Xbox live) for $99.
Still, these prices are a pain.
6 dimensions more than in TFA:

Absolutely. You are SO right!
It incomprehensible to me why reviewers or players don't address this much more often.
You let your 4 year old son watch Star Wars movies?

Whoever doesn't realize this is an ignorant fool.

Well, then Id opt an European Encryption.
Ok - didnt know that.
Still - isnt it generally possible to connect any (satellite) radio reciever to a recording unit?
Sorry if this is a stupid question to you. I just dont seem to get the point of this...
can record to mp3 directly from radio already... or is this something different?

Well, it IS included in the (retail) CE too!
Just DoD seems not to be available as a retail version.

Sounds great. Long live the slashdot empire! And may the force be with you! :-)
