to the Republican assholes. They just don't give a fuck. They are power-hungry whores who will do anything to damage the President, including fuck up the global economy.
Capitalism is good at many things, but uplifting workers ain't one of them. The only thing will make apple respond is if it sees a consumer backlash which will pressure the, to allow these workers to form an autonomous union.
Just a couple of weeks ago, I was sitting next to a gentleman, 55 to 60 years old, who was having a great deal of trouble performing what most of us would consider the most basic of functions such as how to add a new city to the iPhone's built-in weather feature. He had just purchased the phone and so I helped him through the process. It was quite an eye-opener for me. He had not even figured out how to appropriately tap on the screen (he was pressing on it as if it were a mechanical button and so his touches never registered). He was constantly misspelling with they keyboard, could not figure out how to correct a mistake. It took him about a dozen efforts and maybe about 3 minutes before he successfully typed in Boston.
I would estimate he would need a one-on-one training of at least a few hours in duration before he could being to use some of the other iPhone's most basic features.
What exactly is Google doing with all those developers? They don't seem to come out with near as many cutting edge features as they did 7 or 8 years ago when they rolling out new products like crazy.
I'm part of a small minority of users that avoids MS products at all costs, even if they have better products. I wonder what percentage of techies are like that?
Just the tone of the article is a giveaway. Another giveaway: google "widespread cultural, social, and economic change that would define" which he says is one of his stock phrases. Surely someone would have posted at least one of the papers he claims to crank out. Aside from references to this one article, nothing comes up.
OK, when you're done ripping on the pope, stop and consider his point of view and what he has to say. Whether you agree or disagree, his point deserves some honest thought and debate.
I'd say that's a legitimate concern. Why is everyone so quick to conclude everyone in government is incompetent? It's irrational so chill the fuck out.
I bought a 3G 2 years ago. Then bought a 4 as soon as I could.
I've played a little with my friend's Androids. They don't do anything for me. Too many options. I'm a fairly hard core geek but sometimes you just don't want to be bothered with all the options. They just make things confusing.
"The OS will feature a richer and immersive user experience..."
This can only mean that it's gonna have a 3D display with Kinect-like controls. I can't wait to fly through the keypad snatching at buttons as they rush by!

I think there are maintenance guys are in Ballmer's office right now replacing his office chair and a broken plate glass window.

I was just going to say that back in about 2001 someone gave me advice not to learn Perl 5 because a Perl 6 release was imminent.
I'm paying Comcast for phone, internet, and TV.
Netflix isn't sucking about $2K/year out of me like Comcast.
They are only charging me 99 cents a month. They are not charging the full rate yet.
I paid 99 cents last month and just renewed this month for another 99 cents. They aren't charging full price.

Pay your fucking fair share, assholes!
I'll believe it when I see it.

These guys are hard core and fighting the good fight. Their struggle against corporate greed should be our struggle.
But the Republicans told me it was the unions to watch out for. They are about to take over the government from what I understand!
...where corporations are free to fuck you in the ass.

What's legs got to do with?
Come talk to me when they figure out the "zero fatality life."
Yeah, real simple if you have about a $100 million for a sustained advertising campaign to educate the public on an arcane issue.

This is Slashdot. Facts don't matter much.
