Make the product cheaper is the unoffical company slogan of the company I used to work for. Guess what, corporate headquaters just moved out of their less than 5 year old building into their warehouse. They couldn't come up w/ an ink jet printer of their own and tried to oem someone else's. Didn't work too well. Plus they got the All-in-One device backwards even though they started the whole thing. Innovation is the key.
This article is the similar fluff from CEOs as before. However, I maintain that looking behind at our great achiements won't help the future's lack of them.
As Tyler Dirken said
"F**k Marth Stewart, she's polishing brass on the Titantic"
This guy is polishing something (maybe his head) and he's trying to placate the masses. Don't pay attention to the larger picture of the US is slowly losing it's ability to innovate. I'm sure out sourcing will help CEO's and the people who hold stock options but it will still screw the rest of us.
I had to struggle through Quicksilver but I did enjoy it. I should reread it to better understand it but really don't have the time. Some people like a simple straight forward story without having to think about it. Cryptonomicon is my all time favorite hands-down. It did start slow and if you gave up on it early then expect to miss out on a lot of good things in life.
unless it has precognative powers to knows Janet is gonna flash her boob or Bono decides to use a verb as an adjective.
I curse more than a Eminem song but my kid knows not to repeat it. My son is up playing during sitcoms where more than enough vulgar things are on. He catches some of it. Shame on the network or shame on me?
Fuck the FCC. I'm getting more than paranoid about the religious agendas of some of these known and unknown sects. It's not the religion, it's the people that are screwy.
Being a Notes developer it makes me happy just to see Domino mentioned in a positive way even if it's not important to the article. Regarding the article, I see this as another pro in the column to learn j2ee as opposed to.Net for my next technical notch on my belt.
Don't forget that less jobs means less money in the US. HP is putting people out of work who would be buying their consumer products. Long term results? Less consumer products more focused on business.
Solutions? a. Bitch (we are good at that but it does nothing) b. Buy stock. (Long term plan since it takes $ and time to build up a portfolio) c. Start you own biz like an enterprising lady I hired who picks up my dog's poop once a week for $20. Takes about 20 minutes. How many yards can you do in a day? Hire more people. Overhead would be new rubber shoes, plastic bags and shovels. $$$$ There isn't any ?????? in that formula.
Pot Holes - check paint on walls - peeling & warped wood paneling - check we have electricians, carptenters.... Light bulbs - 45 out of 81 not working in this room HVAC - works good depending on the floor/room your in carpet - depends on what floor/room your in AND a 150 Million gap in the budget.
Working in City Hall in Philadelphia... priceless.
For a 10 year old it was cool. For an obvious adult like yourself it won't be. Star Wars doesn't do it for me like it used to either. Mork & Mindy + Buck Rogers.. are shows I liked when I was a child but I can't watch them now, nor would I watch remakes of those shows.
I am not defending the making of this "remake", but was only trying to show you a point of view that might clue you in as to why someone would remake it. 30 somethings + boobs = $$ or so they hope. Don't worry, BSG won't go beyond the first season.
Your "horse-opera plot" reference is "unknown" to me. "Yet" the air quotes you use are "distracting", No?
Yes lo-res by today's standards but for TV at that time it was cool. They are take a now over done sci-fi plot and slutting it up a la Star Trek 6of9 and the new vulcan wench. It's too obvious to point out. *too late*
Thanks for the suggestion. It is ergonomically easier to process both audio and video on the same reciever due to the way my entertainment center is setup. I have other component devices such as HDTV decoder that I worry if the audio is processed on a different box the audio and video will get out of sync. In either case I would much rather found a location that I could go and speak to someone about my concerns and listen to the thing before I'd buy it.
Would you buy a car without driving it first? I am in the market for a surround sound system and had considered buying Niro1 however I would love to listen for myself. No where on there site shows where I can listen. I also have a question as to how to connect multiple components through their system. Niro1 only shows a hook up direct to a TV and a VCR in their FAQ. Nothing about hooking it up with a video reciever. I need to hook up my Tivo, VCR, Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube into the system. I suppose the output of the video receiver would go through the Aux channel. Too much marketing not enough facts.
I guess if the 'couch' is for elderly people, it could track a progressive weight loss it will schedule a trip to the dr.
or
Detect a lack of movement over the course of days and call the morgue.
or
Integrate a catheter or bed pan right in couch so 'michael' never leaves the couch and looks like the 'what if' episode of Futurama where Bender becomes a huge bloated human. whoooo.
Now I know I haven't got a split personality but I do not recall writing this post.
Same issue. Not only do you have to unplug and hide your game consoles, TV and radio. You need to turn off your cable modem too. My internet connection at home and at work lures me like a siren's song. I think I do have ADD -the hyperactivity. My focus inproves as the deadline approaches. My suggestions are to give yourself your own deadline to do a small task invovling your work. Break them down and once you step back to see what you've done you'll accomplish more than you think.
The company I worked for had to pull out of the consumer market(both ink and toner based) because they couldn't keep losing money on lost revenue due to generic cartridges. So now there is less choice in the toner and ink jet printers.
My last ink jet screwed up because of the damn refillable cartridges. My current ink jet works great with name-brand cartridges.
I couldn't finish it. Half way through I got sick of the same statement over and over again. I'm usually a pretty good reader too.
The saga is ended. However, we enjoy the browser jousts to keep the Knights in shape. Cast MS as the dark night and all the others trying to take them down by making themselves small so they don't impale themselves on MS's titanium lance.
I have IE 6 and Mozilla on my system because, as a web developer I need to. Java isn't fast nor stable no matter what version. I wish it was because I'd rather use it than the embedded ActiveX Rich Text editor I need to use for my current site. It's faster than some of the java applets and it's free.

Durden no Dirken.
I'm so pissed it's effecting my spelling....
Yep we all look small and insignifigant.

Works great during business hours doesn't it?
Accuracy I think it more of an issue.

It's MIB, Independence Day and Buck Rodgers all rolled up and smoked about half way down so you get a burnt taste in your mouth watching.
I'll wait for it on HBO.
Jeep owners tend to be a pretty close knit group. We also know of plenty of heavily wooded areas free of people where you can bury stuff....
>Yes I am kidding. I don't avocate the use of violence or law suits to accumulate wealth

I honestly didn't think the phrase was real.

I don't think the first one will have a security issue. It's the 5th or 6th version you need to worry about.
Except you don't see your opposite in cowboy hats waving back at you, just yourself.
On the plus side I was always afraid my wife would run off with my bizzaro opposite. He being the smart sexy one.

"Miss Bede and the family of Aaron Hamel plan to sue Take-Two Interactive Software"
NOT
"Apparently Take-Two Interactive is being sued by the parents of two kids who killed a man."
Does anyone proof read?
However, in the movie it was champagne on on the Motherboard not beer on the CD.
I guess they want you to convert it into every known format requiring huge amounts of server space or better yet convert it into a huge animated .gif.
Don't sweat it.
Regards.

Then he would sit at home after 'the' visit and stare at the wall.
It's interaction. It's a lot more than I got from my father who lived a lot closer.
