Restricting ideas in a way where the many have to give something back to the originator is not the problem. We should look at the source of the real problem, which is a capitalist system that motivates the restriction of goods.
This of course, can be seen in the short term. In the long term, forcing people to invent alternative ways is a form of nurishing progress overall.
It will not be enough for hardcore keyboard+mouse players. I'm not that skilled on FPS yet I have found myself selecting targets with my eyes, then moving my hand to click on them while my eyes start looking for more targets at the same time.
do we expect lawyers to understand technology? It's like water and oil.
OTOH, there might be a legal reason on using crypto tools with a suspected terrorist. You know, one might not want to teach underdeveloped countries how to use weapons or technology against western civilization...
Videogames are not a book, a tv show, a dvd movie nor a board game. Just like these, they are on their own type of -experience-, and experience is a personal thing based on the collection of education, principles, abilities and your own realizations. Most of these factors are learned from family environment and cultural teachings. Therefore, the question if there is an age for video games depends entirely on the culture and education somebody has. It might be the reason why videogame psychological effects on children are not that big deal on some countries where perhaps differentiating real from unreal is not hard for them.
Go easy on caffeine buddy, I have tested the hack several times and it fails to reset the password on my modem (2700HG) why? I don't care. So at least in my experience, having a password seems to work just fine.
I live in Mexico, and yes, the bank name is Banamex (owned by Citibank) and this is how the hack works:
The most prominent ISP in Mexico (Telmex) uses 2wire gateway modems, most of them wireless enabled. Security is turned on by default using serial numbers so no one from outside can login "easily".
However, there is no default security from the inside, so the gusanito.com postcard contains a malicious flash program that sends a special URL to the modem that adds a DNS entry to its local name resolution table pointing www.banamex.com to a pharming site.
Next time you open IE or any other browser and open www.banamex.com you'll get redirected to the other site.
This easily solved putting a user password on the modem configuration, but not all people care to do that.
That means I have to get rid of that "You have 10 seconds to enter password" custom logon screen...
Seriously, not only do I have to remove my shoes, belt, jacket and cap but now I have to standup holding my clothes and pants in one hand, type a logon password with the other and wait for an officer to scan over thousands of files on my laptop just enough to either run half-naked to my connection across the airport or let it go while I put everything back ???
Geeez... I'm not sure who's worse: US companies treating their customers like criminals or your goverment doing the same to tourists. The only clear thing is: Illegal workarounds seems to be more convenient -and efficient- in both cases. No wonder people do them more and more.
Doeas that means if I put my windows server behind a firewall or a load share setup thus not "directly" facing the net, I'm not allowed to have > 50 users?
Now you have to make sure your code is different than somebody else's or you'll be sued?
With ANY computer language being a LIMITED set of instructions, that leaves only so much options to do things, and some of them can ONLY be done with specific instructions in a specifc order.
Society have to grab greedy people/corporations by the balls and yell "Enough is enough!!".
If something is in your way go around it. Disconnect your net from the USA. If all nations isolate the USA then probably you have something to negotiate with. If not, then you have some begging to do.
disclaimer:
I'm an American and I live in the United States, just not the "America" ones.
What an anonymous donation to the party can do...
Container might be good, but the product sucks. Go get some Sabritas instead.
Sheez!
Can't you see China is your enemy? They have actually make you believe you're friends but are taking your money and working skills away.
Imagine what would happen in a few years when practically everything you use is made in china and they decide not to supply you any more?
Will they obey agreements, contracts, deals? Hahaha!!!
The whole world can see it but you!

To me it sounds like somebody who decides what gives him a monetary benefit regardless of any context.
Pretty much what USA is about, actually.

just my two clicks...

...why I'm typing this on Firefox in Mandriva.
I knew it!
They're sturdy and might help you better than a laptop.

I think I'm staying with LAMP for a bit more...
One long Billion or a short Billion ?
Thank you, but please don't poison what is being done by good will with your money.
...that Slashdot recycles stories, right?
I'm totally fed up with this copyright paranoia.

this gives a whole new meaning to "HILF's i'd like to fsck"
Like many others, I have mastered the fine art of sleeping with my eyes open during management meetings.
You only need a bucket, a sponge, some soap and plenty of water.
Oh, and maybe a ladder if you want to reach the ones in the upper floors.
I don't know you, but the paranoid in me likes to make 25 backup copies of each game I own, just in case...
...was probably done on an Amiga computer.
