Mod parent up. When in school, COBOL was my least favorite language to work in, then I got a real job and learned to love it. COBOL and Wang VS, a match made in heaven, lol...
Good invention at the outset, yes...I used to think of it as 'myspace for grownups'. Once it was poisoned by Zynga games, 'surveys', and the Facebook API, not so much.
I noodled around with it for about a half-hour last night, found it enjoyable and will definitely keep playing. Easy enough to pick up with very little hand-holding but I can see some depth coming as things heat up....
Does anyone remember the days when Microsoft's contracts with system builders required them to pay something like $50 per box sold, regardless of what OS was loaded when it shipped? I believe they were eventually spanked (DOJ maybe?), and of course the practice no longer occurs, but it looks like they're hitting up the old playbooks...
Simple yet effective. I have been tasked with ridding our network of the fb scourge, and was looking at all the usual solutions, url filtering, etc....think I'll try your way first, it suits my lazy side, lol + thanks!
While I can't disagree with that statement, I will point out that the idea of sacrifice to the modern American is skipping today's vente half-caf latte.
No, I wasn't joking, or trolling. That would have sent me over the edge; not sure what I would have done exactly, but it would not have been pretty and would have likely ended up with my arrest.
I had a stroke in my 20's that left me with very reduced peripheral vision on the left. Over the years a tiny bit has returned, which is probably the result of my brain doing some rerouting. I'm assuming this tech, once developed, could eventually help me. Wonder if my insurance will cover it... haha...
It has been my experience that companies whose name combines some form of the word 'nutrition' with some form of the word 'laboratory' are, in general, quackery.
Orlando FL location. It was under a transparent floor, and you remotely piloted little r/c trucks with lights and a cam from stand-up stations equipped with a steering wheel and CRT. Spectators could watch (and guide) you roaming around looking for lost treasure or whatever from above, while you drove the car. They had a lot of tech problems with the system, including some of the cars catching on fire, so I believe they eventually scrapped it. I played with it when it was working, and it was a lot of fun.
One of the major complaints by the gov't was that some of the Afghan informers that were named will now be Taliban targets. Seems an easy way to flush out more Talibs...just set up surveillance on the informers, and wait for the rats to find their way to the cheese...
Absolutely. The Goldman Sachs of the world like to say they 'provide liquidity' and 'make markets', but they really add no value to anything; they do exactly the opposite. Leeching billions of dollars out of the system by fraudulent manipulation and exploiting weaknesses is nothing more than legalized theft. Imagine where our economy would be if those vampires didn't exist....I am not an economist, but common sense says that wages would be higher and consumer prices would be lower, because that money would be more likely passed among real working humans, not computers and their corporate puppetmasters.
. Over 1% two months in a row, we usually close the account. If the merchant doesn't pay outstanding fees and chargebacks, they are reported to an industry registry that will prevent the business entity and it's owners from being able to get a merchant account from anyone else in the industry.

If this is true, there must be some rogue processors that work with the rogue software companies despite the chargebacks.
If there is an expectation of privacy on public streets, then all public traffic/safety/security cams must be taken down immediately. What if Officer Dribble there was caught on one of those, if only inadvertently? Say I was watching one of those streaming cams on their DOT's website (not sure if they have any, but most states do), and I captured that video and released it to the wild. Does the state have any liability? Do I?
Mod parent up, please...that is a great solution; why couldn't the Blizzards figure that out? Or maybe it was too much work to, you know, actually have to do some development to tie the game user db with the forum user db...
Rumor is that Sony has developed a mini quad-core Cell processor for PSP2.

Cause what's Science going to do for you anyway ?
Science will help build better weapons, you silly goose!
I say we all find a way to hop on before they fuck that one up too.

Animal cruelty charges should be brought, they allowed 4 pets to die...frankly I would be more pissed about that than losing my stuff.

Don't we all know how they turn out? Sure, getting there is half the fun, but all roads lead to the, ah, happy ending...
I live in a 3rd world country too (USA), and we can often barely get a signal for our barely 3G devices.

Nor was I taking a position on the morality of the leaks, just positing one way to make lemonade after the lemons fell off the truck.
