I bet you can't even see the irony of your post. If it expensive and inflexible then it's quite easy to do it better don't you think? The problem you haven't addressed is that every business has different requirements and not all of them require super-robustness. I worked both sides of the fence, and MSP has it's place but it isn't the solution for everyone (as TFA quite nicely demonstrates).

Or perhaps we shouldn't prevent Nuclear proliferation? After all the bad guys might not use them? Your argument is pretty weak. Controlled substances are controlled for a reason, to protect greater society from idiots and allow a greater overall freedom to society as a whole. The world functioned perfectly before laser pointers, it's no great loss to remove them from public consumption

What I'm saying is that it is a MASSIVE overreaction to start requiring college professors to get a government issued permit to use a laser pointer in their classroom.

That's how civilisation works. When something becomes a nuisance, it gets regulated and we maintain our civilisation. If you really, really want freedom, go hang out in Mogadishu or Lagos for a bit. No rules there, see how you like real freedom...

There is never any excuse for snide remarks, that is just lack of maturity. And since Google has all the answers to everything, then by your logic all questions are stupid since they can all be answered on Google. Therefore all questions deserve snide responses. There is another point to asking oversimple quesiton which you have clearly missed. And that is to send a message to the editors. ie I didn't know what NPC meant either. We've been doing it for years, successfully and sustainably through both conservative and liberal governments for decades.
