Wouldn't it be more efficient to keep up with where the money goes AS IT GOES OUT THE DOOR? The way this panel is doing it now is just a waste of even more resources, and it provides a little time for the recipients to come up with some more BS to explain why all their execs needed multi-million dollar bonuses for running their companies into the ground.
The main problem with this issue is that science and government operate very differently. When are people going to realize that governmental panels on climate change will not work as science.
It seems to me that this could be the work of a whistleblower, but then I don't see why he/she would claim to be a hacker--unless Latvia does not protect against retaliation toward whistleblowers.
I was under the impression that the whole purpose of testing groundwater was to find and STOP contamination. If they've repeatedly failed this test, how are they allowed to continue operations?
A drop does not a peak make. Isn't a peak the highest point of the SET of data? If we don't know if this is over, then how does that make a set of data? Is it a new trend to anonymously spout off and act like everyone but you is stupid?
Because of things like "the interstate commerce clause", the goverment thinks it has the right to make laws that regulate these things without our consent.
Now, whether they do or not is up to us--but how many people do you see that are holding politicians accountable for not looking out for the interests of the people?
I encountered this problem too during my last year and a half in uni, so I used a low-tech solution. When I needed to put an equation in my notes, I would type "See EQ. 1-1" and fill up a piece of paper with equations. Later on (that day or the next), while reviewing my notes I would look up the eq on my sheet and type it into my notes the correct way.
Well, I was thinking more along the lines of keeping data kind of like how a research project would, so that in case there were problems with one election *now*, those that wanted could look at past data too and see if there is a trend in the mistakes. I understand that eventually it wouldn't matter if there was a mistake 12 years ago, but this method of voting and vote counting needs to be proven too, almost like a research project's topic needs to be proven.
I also have a problem with this guy thinking he's clever by speaking on behalf of nerds like he's a nerd prophet.
Dos preguntas:
1) Does this guy think that because he wears glasses that he is automatically a nerd?
2) If he is a nerd, who gave him the power to speak for anyone else that claims to be a nerd?
The fact that someone can be both a jock and a nerd proves that this whole dichotomy of jock vs nerd is wrong. In my opinion, Nerds and Jocks are more like the opposite ends of a spectrum. I am definitely more on the nerd end, but I've seen people at all points on that spectrum.
The paper printout needs to be stored somewhere (maybe two or three different *somewheres*) so that if a question does come up after a vote, Sequoia can't say "Oh well, our warehouse leaked and those records were destroyed."
If someone tried this shit on me, I would have no choice but to write my own song, "Go Fuck Yourself"....of course, it would be licensed under creative commons.
Thanks for the clarification.
I've used Spybot S&D since my XP days. I like it, but I don't know how much cred it has with other people.

Yeah, I know what you are saying. This is stupid, and not surprisingly NOT news.
No non-alphanumerics? You call that random? My grandmother can do better than that!
Wasn't there an article on here recently about US college freshman being less prepared than in years prior?
Twenty bucks says that they never figure out what happened.

If someone did leak more documents, do you think the news would cover it?
When is there going to be a BSD port?
It's one of Roger Daltrey's pet projects!

Isn't the peak something that you talk about later when you are analyzing the data? Of what relevance is it to discuss a peak in this current cycle?
..innocent until proven guilty? Too bad that in real life it doesn't always play out that way.
What if someone farts in the space elevator? You'll be stuck for way more than a few floors.

It blocks EM frequencies, but does it block zombies?
