and it's reaffirming exactly what the RIAA does: promote big acts.
Actually I think he's promoting little acts. But hopefully one day they'll be big, big time!
What the major labels provide to an artist is massive promotion, and this artist has already been promoted.
They also go after grandmothers that don't own computers. I see this as less of a "stunt" and more of a "creative idea using past works", which really sums it up: He's creativly using his control over the copyright of his work to allow others to enhance or diminish it, whichever they prefer. This is one of several steps in the right direction. Back in the middle ages when bards shared songs and roamed the country side, I don't think they were too concerned about copyright. Music wants to be heard. I do agree with you, support the small fry and let the big guys die.
I will agree that Eccleston was a great choice for the roll, however from what I read about it a while back, it was actually Eccleston that had made the decision to only do one season of the show as he didn't want to be type cast. I haven't even seen any of Tennant's performances as of yet, but the teasers I saw did not look too bad.
I believe it was about a year ago that they stopped charging for it. I know this, because I bought a license about a month before they made it free... (a quick google search reveals it was 1 year and 6 days ago:)
This is a good move by Nintendo I think, but I will hope that in June they change their minds and leave it free.
there actually is a lethal amount of pot. funny thing, though, it's physically impossible to consume that amount in the time required. IIRC, it's over 1 thousand pounds, and you have to consume it in less than an hour.
I'd be willing to sacrifice myself and test this theory as soon as possible.
It could just be my corp. image, but I have "Automatically Restart" checked under System Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery. Not sure if it's the default out of the box setting, but I bet I don't see any Blue Screen's with that checked. It will supposedly dump an error log for you in the directory of your choosing, so I guess you don't really have to be able to read the screen; nice if you have a video issue.
The current administration will never admit mistakes such as these. You are absolutely correct about the warrents.
Ever since I heard about the wiretapping issues, when I talk to my friend over my cell phone, I sometimes say hi to the NSA just for fun. They never respond though...
I am so glad to hear about this decision! I hope that the message has been sent now: We will not tolerate being spied upon for no apparent reason.
Agressive Words can lead to agressive actions you know...
As far as thought crimes, I'm with you there AC. But If someone threatens me, whether it be to me face, by phone or by internet, I would probably take it seriously to some extent. Because you never know.
Thanks, you know in all that I've read about this subject I was not aware of the current law. If this is the case they should simply remove the time limit.
To me, it seems like they are both on the same side. The one guy says,
In short, don't be fooled by the superficial appeal of the net neutrality legislation. The idea is rotten to the core because it's a heavy-handed fix to a nonexistent problem, and it's a lousy cost-benefit trade off for consumers.
While the other guy says,
They say that keeping the net neutral, as it is now, involves more government intervention and regulation, but really the opposite is true. Let's keep the net as it is now: neutral, fair and free.
If the opposite is true, then we shouldn't enact a new law to fix what isn't broken. No?
At first I was all for some kind of "Net Nuetrality" law, but I do agree that really any new "internet regulation" law that is passed regardless of who it favours is going to have long reaching effects. The solution? Keep your damn paws off my Internet, politicos!
I thought this was going to be about the new FPS game "Serious Spam" in which the heroine tries to defeat democracy with her spam gun and filtered Google Water (beta). But seriously, I hope this cuts down on the number of emails I get with all question marks in the subject line. If China is succesful with this program, perhaps other countries will follow suite. (I'm looking at you, Taiwan! *shakes fist*)
Just becuase you think he's crazy, doesn't mean they aren't out to get him.

I believe the ad was "Shoot the Monkey", so, no points there.
Better luck next time!
The town is under attack!
And the icon could be a picture of Deb Gibson!
*queue hack the gibson jokes*

That will teach me to post first and google later...

I thought it was his least favorite...
It's also a fast food burrito chain.

Spam! I get jokes! Perhaps the pig icon should be in a blanket though.
I dunno, but here's where the AC pulled it from http://www.thecountdownpage.com/exp-jon-oneill.htm

I'm not finding anything to support the OP's claim. Care to back up the statement that Poodle Hat contained DRM?
wait a minute... that was OUR PLANET!!

You know his mind is not for rent...
You must be new here?
It may be spelled Japan Aviation eXploration Agency, but it's pronounced "Throat Wobbler Mangrove".
IANAL and didn't RTFA, but AFAICT the EFF stands for the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
