    It doesn’t have better battery management if anything does, its android cause you have complete control over what is on and off. The iphone uses %30 more power just so they can say they have the highest resolution (no easier to read outside or any brighter) its management strategy is squeeze the biggest battery in there they can. For the military Go a dual core processor; Samoled screen; multiple swappable batteries; unibody design and a big ass external antenna option.

The troubling stat is the female iphone users Women are more likely to understate the amount of sexual activity they have had.     I don't think your analogy worked very well, but I’ll try to follow; you are proposing that an internet connection to your house from NYC made out of an incredibly tiny fragile wire is broken (after your light bulb in California got bitten of by a lion) and your going to try and find the break and twist the wires together (reconnecting it to your brand new light). These guys at APL are proposing to put in a whole new wire (it'll be wifi but it’s your analogy) straight from the switch in NYC (your brain) to your house in California (your arm) (no re-routing through your foot, brain probe to arm).

    Mathematica or Mathlab is another example. They are oriented into translating mathlike formulas into other formulas. Then inserting ranges of numbers and obtain graphical outputs.

    I don't know how far you have to travel to find a power outlet; or how long you like to read for in one go, but a 20+ hours pixel Qi should be plenty for me. but look mate if you want keep using your nokia 5110 just so you don't have to pick up the power cord an extra one or two times a week, then go for it. Personally though bring on the dual core phones I’ll make it work. mirisol will be great when they get the colour version out there (when ever they plan to do that); but its success will be due to its flexibility (bendable), strength and style; not how often they have to plug it in. Also for anyone that wants a game of quake 3 between books, it’ll be a very long time before you get comparable refresh rates to that of an lcd.

    I can't wait for this to be on sale for the public. No need to park your car in the city to go to work just have it drop you off at the front door, park somewhere free, avoid the parking police, then when your finished for the day call it up to come and get you. That’s just on a weekday can you imagine the fun you could have on the weekend knowing you have a computer driver ready to take you to the next pub, or get you back to the flower garden next to your driveway.

    Apple said "iPhones running OS 3.2 or iOS 4 collect GPS data and encrypt it before sending it back to Apple every 12 hours via Wi-Fi" Does this mean they collect data all day long (or when the gps is activated) then just send back a log with some times and places, or only where you are when the clock strikes 12. That is some incredibly powerful information. You could make a fortune on it by finding where and when they have the highest saturation of iphones users, and then exploiting those people on there lack of tech knowledge, by telling them how revolutionary something is that they ripped off a competitor and rushed to market.

    Boot camp is what the problem is you think you can just grab a bunch of people of the street put them in basic training for six months, then set them lose inside china's firewall. You need thousands of hours of practice hopefully with a young developing mind, preferably something they did most of on there own time. but in this age of kids raised on iphones no one is fixing there computer; or screwing around trying to get a game to work in dos; and most of a computer programming courses is about making it look pretty.

    We have huge amounts of excess power at night that’s why there is usually an off-peak charge on your bill, properly something like 2 cents per KWh. But during the day especially a hot summer afternoon; the whole network is strained and the wholesale electricity price skyrockets (think $2000 per MWh). The trick with electric cars will be allowing owners to plug there car in at work and sell back to the grid. two birds with one stone ; easing the load on the network and making money for the person selling 2 cents at a huge profit (admittedly its hard to get into whole sale electricity business; but corporations could manage it). You don’t want to sell all your power though otherwise you wont be able to get home.

    You’re not taking the conversion factor into account. I don’t know how cool this guy is or you, but if vin diesel or Anthony Kiedis had pi, or the atom of hydrogen on there arm; I reckon a couple more kids would actually take the time to study what it was. you can lead a horse to water (buy a bunch a books, or donate to schools then hope for the best) but seeing a big stallion with a bunch of mares around him drinking as much as he can might do the job better.

    Are you insane the only reason to get an iphone is the software (not my cup of tea but it would suit my grandmother). Hardware wise they get blown away by almost everyone else (unless you want that front facing camera so you can talk to other people with an iphone4). i'm willing to bet around the end of the year htc will put out a phone with the dual core 1.2ghz snap dragon chip. (then it'll take apple a year or so to catch up just like with the nexus one.)

    what happened to my last comment i'm sure the fact that a lot of car entertainment units will be powered by tegra 2 in the near future drasticly reducing the price and increasing functionality and performance is quite relevant. also i'll say it again anyone that thinks you'll get anything like a car entertainment system without buying a bunch of accesories and apps is kidding them self.
