The problem is that the SSN is so closely tagged to everything you do, just knowing it makes stealing an identity way too easy.
I'm not positive that's the problem -- as turbidostato pointed out, it's supposed to be an identification token, not a password. Trouble is, banks, CC companies, etc. commonly use this (perhaps coupled with something lame like DOB) as just that.
For example, from your clearly visible email address, I know you have a livejournal account (contains your birthdate, hometown, full name, etc.), you frequent Amazon (which shows a picture of you, some personal info, etc.), and so forth -- all from a simple google search.
Thing is, I can't easily steal your identity, because you've only supplied your handle, but no password. I believe that's what turbidostato's saying; we should be able to talk about our SSN the same as our email address, as our handle and password should be (but aren't) separate.
Is there anything special about sugars extracted this way, other than the obvious shock value? Is it some trace amount of minerals they're after? I mean, for all I know I'm breathing oxygen atoms from dinosaur farts -- but it's exactly the same as oxygen atoms from any other source...
Actually, with a dry sump and a clever dual-oil filter setup, this probably wouldn't be too hard. Granted, it wouldn't change all the oil -- only the oil in the reservoir + filter.

My CS lecturer prepared a number of these for an intro CS course. I took the class back in '06-'07, but IIRC the videos were taken from Mac OS X. That said, it is pretty neat.
This is only tangentially related, but my two laptops both have LEDs next to the camera that go on when they're in use (MSI netbook and ThinkPad -- plus, I believe all recent Macs have this as well). Is this implemented at the driver- or hardware level? "modinfo uvcvideo" suggests that it's not a user-configurable parameter (though I haven't looked at any source).
Now, if the hardwire kept these LEDs on for, say, a minute after the camera was used (change the colour so it's not confusing), it would make this sort of thing much easier to detect.

it won't affect the iPad!

Wal-Mart money does good things, too -- for example, paying a starving college kid to write a paper! (Wikipedia corroborates.)
If you are screaming in an argument, then you have already lost.

This could certainly be done with pulsars, though I think the resolution would leave something to be desired.
Or, "pictures of a huge cockroach."
The difference is that WWII vets aren't even close to the target audience age-group for such games.
For the new Medal of Honor, on the other hand, game's target age group and age of the actual veterans aren't all that different.

Isn't my risk of dying, uh, pretty close to 1, regardless of other factors?
Less with lightsabers and more with many other Star Wars props. ...I have rebuilt the stormtrooper E-11 blaster...same thing for Boba Fetts blaster...
Very cool. After all, hokey religions and ancient weapons are no substitute for a good blaster at your side.

I bet there'll be booth babes.
I'd go for the booth babes at the criminal convention over the malware booth babes...bound to be fewer viruses...
Multiply by 1/8, maybe? I agree though -- it does seem a bass ackwards way of comparing sizes.
Yeah, we've got a full two more planets than...oh wait...

Was this a fan-film? Because as far I know, there were no sequels to The Matrix.
Yup -- I think that fan also made Star Wars I, II and III. Surprised Lucas didn't issue a cease-and-desist order after the first one...

How can you trust someone who finds a big bug, but won't say exactly what it is, and have a miraculous cure for it.
Same way you can trust me! Speaking of which, can I interest you in some snake oil?
