butt_head: They are slashdot. They make such references to screw up the google database, thus completly validating their newstories. Inevitable reposts will bump the number even higher!
Valient effort from the "other side" to track^h^h^h^h^h spy^h^h^h protect consumers, but what prevents "rogue pirates" (aka consumers) from ripping to WAV/AIFF and then converting to lossless/lossy format of choice?
This looks like a last ditch effort to regain control of the digital media revolution, if you ask me.
This is what seems to be a very cool application of putting old equipment to good work. And hey, if it turns out that it doesn't work, he has a cheep and effective form of birth control...
*shudders* Me thinks of the advertisments for DIY permenant birth control... =O
Moz 1.2 works like a champ on my iMac under Jaguar. 1.1 was a little sluggish, but 1.2 seems to have corrected that and then some. Startup times are now nearly as fast as IE 5.2.2, and Moz is and hopefully will continue to be much less crash prone than IE. This is in and of itself amazing, considering it is 1.2 BETA.
Great job to all who work on this effort. It is much appreciated by many in the computing field. Cheers!

You say this as if you didn't have kids.
oh wait....
Must be an embarrassment for the poor guy.
"Is that a ruler in your pocket or are you happy to see me?"
"Actually, it IS a ruler."
Hmmm... I'd dare say my mother-in-law qualifies, without even having surgery.
:)
What, oh yeah, sorry. Gut reaction.

I'm reading the article and thinking "Wouldn't it be more effective to just turn the damn thing off?"
:)
-Yes, this IS a joke.
Step 1: Build / Buy lasers

Step 3: Copyright this
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit!!!
Step 6: Fun!!! (For you, anyway)
Step 7: Make a beowulf cluster of them for added fun and profit
Just change your screen depth to millions of colors.
24/32bit mode seemed to clear up the lines for me.
I can't believe that this is happening in the University of Delaware. Now, Perdue, that's another story!
