For those who think it's easy to control a ranting idiot: Get 5 of your friends, choose a reasonably healthy male of about the same size as the guy in the video and try to politely put cuffs on him with him resisting: The rules,
you cannot bruise him or hurt him in any way.
and he can do whatever he wants short of throwing a punch.
I think if you do this you'll find a new found respect for the police officers.
Not quite, SCO was stupid enough to go through with it, and suing IBM of all companies, how dumb can you be? I would be shocked if Microsoft tried that. IBM lawyers are better than Microsoft lawyers, and they know it.
Facts: HP has 156,000 employees, and about 90 billion in revenue. IBM has 366,000 employees, and about 90 billion in revenue. google has 11,000 employees, and about 12 billion in revenue.
I think that's where the 150K came from, the old $/employee ratio.
The nasty letters didn't work on North Korea, Iraq, Iran, etc etc, they certainly won't work on the USA either, UN, WTO, all other "organizations" are powerless and pointless. tom
Maybe they stopped by last week, listen a bit, and decided we're not intelligent life, sending out a message to the rest of the fleet: "move along, there is nothing to see here"
>Pelosi is going to be two heartbeats away from the Oval Office, do you really want to make it one? Technically, it's only about 1.5, remember this is Cheney we're talking about:-) If Cheney goes as he should, can replace with Rice, easy confirmation, and Pelosi is back to 2 hearbeats away.
"As a wise man once said, 'the only thing to fear is fear itself'." That wise man had a bomb shelter and was protected by the federal agents, not to mention the marines, army, etc. You'll note that man was a politician from day one, and never had to go to war, had he been in WWI, he would not have made that stupid comment.
"does not know if the device has damaged his hearing, said his attorney, Steve W. Berman, of Seattle. But that's beside the point of the lawsuit, which takes issue with the potential the iPod has to cause irreparable hearing loss, Berman said."
This is whats wrong with the US system, you can sue for the possible unproven potential to do damage. How long will it be before they sue computer makers, stereo makers, etc etc for the same thing.
>Yes. Any molecular biology textbook is full of factual proofs of evolution.
BS. Yes, organisms will development develop minor DNA changes as a result of the environment. But evolution THEORY is that somewhere along the line there were MAJOR DNA changes, there is no proof of this happening, did a dog just give birth to a cat one day? cold blooded gave birth to warm blooded? You think creationism is unbelievable?
I remember a farside where a scientist is trying to explain a formula, right in the middle there is the words "some miracle occurs". Reminds me of the big bang theory, evolution theory, etc etc.
Do you really think we have maps are accurate to 1 cm? Imagine a mistake in the map and the autopilot puts you into the other lane. Thanks, but no thanks. The day we start implementing autopilots on cars is the day I stop driving.
I'm curious, if we move the launching of rockets from sea level to someplace like Denver, how much fuel could we save, and how much smaller (less $) would the rockets have to be? Tom
They already have "rebates" for non smokers, I can foresee where volunteer genetic testing also results in additional rebates. As long as its voluntary, there won't be a problem, of course if you don't volunteer your health insurance might be 10X that of a volunteer, but that's your problem.
Yea, arsenic poisoning, that's a good one.

Since when is that a prereq?

If you are stupid enough to gamble online, you not smart enough
to use offshore banking.

chupacabra (goat sucker), except it was yellow rain.

in a nutshell, sometimes it's legal, sometimes it's
not.
Thank you supremes for making that decision
Whats the legal phrase for "maybe it, maybe isn't"?
Since they are voluntary, I don't see the problem
