    The article says, "We have discovered that some of them are simply detached from reality," a security source told Ynetnews.

    Anyone who has played that game knows people who are in fact detached from reality. Of course, that's not everyone but they probably don't have time to do a bunch of research on every recruit to see if that person is safe or not for high security work.

    If I'm wrong, then show me in the law where it says so. I found no such clause. There are websites all over the net that are easily found with Google that provide this information and they are still around and kicking.

    Yep, I don't get it either. I also don't get how people wouldn't notice the pipe character after the http://barclays.co.uk which, to me, is a dead giveaway that something ain't kosher.

    To my knowledge, posting the newsgroup that contains the illegal copy, is not an infringement of the DMCA. If he were actually posting or distributing the illegal copy, that would be different.

    If you had read any of the information on this, you would know that:

    1) He stated that OS fingerprinting is not new. Doing hardware fingerprinting is.

    2) His technique has nothing to do with RNG or cryptography.

    3) One of the key benefits is that his solution CANNOT be blocked by a firewall, nor does any NAT block his detection system.

    Thanks, all of it is encrypted for me. And recording via antenna isn't even an option since my t.v. doesn't have an HD tuner card and no, I won't buy one because HD antenna recording is a joke in 99% of the country.

    According to thefirstammendment.org...

    The Shield Law protects a "publisher, editor, reporter, or other person connected with or employed unpon a newspaper, magazine, or other periodical publication, or by a press association or wire service" and a "radio or television news reporter or other person connected with or employed by a radio or television station." The Shield Law also likely applies to stringers, freelancers, and perhaps authors.

    Since it "likely" applies to freelancers, it likely applies to bloggers since that's what they are. A judge would have to decide.

    If I can't record HD broadcasts with it, then it's worthless IMO. Unfortunately there is no card that will allow me to record HD signals from a cable or satellite box. This means, I have to get the HD DVR box that my cable company provides.

    Releasing a complex library set with a great deal of abstraction and not a single example is a joke. Nobody will use it because nobody is going to waste the time to figure it out. Doc that describes what each method does is nice but clearly this libary needs a lot more than that.

    Wow, you figured this out all on your own? Listen, dipshit, it wasn't the acting that was the problem. All of those guys can act very well. It was the directing that was horrible.

    Enterprise is garbage. The acting is horrible, Bakula is the worst possible person you could pick as the captain of a starship. The writing is marginal. Please tell me how it was 10 times better than ANYTHING?

    I'm gonna disagree with you here. It is near impossible to get a distro that works with even the most extremely popular sound cards like SB Live, and SB Audigy. The only one I've gotten this to work right with is SuSE. I'm sure I could have gotten it to work in RedHat, Mandrake, etc. but I'm talking a fresh install where it's configuring all your drivers for you. Linux simply does not work. This is the kind of thing that will always keep Linux deep into the shadows and it's a shame.

    You do NOT have to register to read articles at salon.com. You DO have to get a "day pass." To do this requires you watch a 30 second flash commercial. There is NO REGISTRATION INVOLVED WHATSOEVER.

    All you have to do is go to salon.com, click on the Free Day Pass link. Watch the stupid commercial, and voila! You have full access to the site for the day.

    Actually, uranium bombs are far easier to build than plutonium bombs. Plutonium is so rediculously unstable and dangerous to work with that it's extremely hard to obtain and then working with it requires extreme care and proper facilities. Uranium is so much easier to deal with.

    In short, the odds of a terrorist building a plutonium based bomb are pretty damn slim. Due to the difficulty in building a real nuclear bomb, it is doubtful a terrorist organization would ever attempt anything more than a dirty bomb. Other forms of mass death are far easy than nuclear bombs.
