You can buy a brick (500 rounds) of.22 long rifle hollow-point ammo for $8. A new.22 rifle will cost you about $150, or you can opt for the stylish approach and shell out a little more for a pistol like this one. .. http://www.browning.com/products/catalog/firear ms/ detail.asp?value=006B&cat_id=051&type_id=3 53 Sadly, the "hang them from the lampposts" approach hasn't been tried yet.
naah, drench their clothes in gasoline and set them on fire. More flailing and a better light show that way.
It is the LENSES dammit.

An 8 megapixel ccd behind a cheap lens is going to look worse than a 1 megapixel ccd behind a high quality lens. Look at the pictures of mars, they were taken using a 1mp camera.
Of course, the additional detail is nice. But to be really usable to blow images up (which is probably the only reason for going higher than 4-5mp), the following problems have to be solved.
1. Noise has to be reduced. Especially in dark pics. Less of a problem now, but still an issue. Of course, if you're taking a 8mp camera and printing out an 8x10, you probably won't be complaining. Zoom in to 300-400% and you will be easily able to see it (and all the stuck sensors, but that is another story).
2. The lens is good enough to resolve that detail. No, your made in china $5 lens will not be good enough. There is a reason professional film cameras have "big ass lenses".
in Florida, but is it just me or is every person who calls from that state dumb as a brick? Any other folks in tech support notice the same thing? Not quite off topic, it just seems that areas which have a zip code that begin with the digit "3" have, shall we say, limited computer experience.
I strongly suggest spysweeper. gets rid of shit like cool web search that adware and spybot doesnt. only caveat is that you have to pay to get the automatic updates or reinstall the program when updates come out.
If they don't, they are the ones that suffer for it.
oh quit your fucking blabbering, ceos don't suffer if they drive a company into the ground. They have pre-planned severance packages that they get regardless of how they preform. Golden parachute anyone?
scary, but true, I find myself doing that pretty often, not only before but also after I get hired, it works great on some of the managers (I use that term very loosely), that I've suffered under.
I'll be happy to take the ipod off your hands for $20;)
I agree though, it would be nice to have a "delete / avoid this goddamn song" button on the ipod and other big players. I suspect it has something to do with how the players randomize songs, it seems to me that even though I have a 4000 song playlist, I keep hearing the same songs (which bugs me). ditto with winamp and stuff. Damn my good memory.
fuckit, I'll bite. ~550,000 people in the county, 700 jobs lost in 2 weeks, and those are just the layoffs I know offhand. Add to that a bunch of people ending temp work at the end of tax season, and I don't think that it would be unreasonable to claim that 1 in every 200 or so people will be freshly unemployed and looking for work come May, especially given that 550,000 is the total number of people, including children and retired folks, etc, not just the employable workers. I'm going to think that is fairly significant.
Of course, your original point was about lazy people not wanting to work, so here's my point. It doesn't matter if you're lazy or not, if there aren't any jobs available, you're not going to get one. Bush did increase the length of unemployment benefits, so either there is a problem, or he is just giving money to the lazy people.
yeah, ok. I'm just imagining that my job, and the job of 700 others is going to Canada by the end of April. Oh. Wait. Fuck, I'm not./waves a tiny American flag.
Yeah, in about 2 weeks me and 400 other people will be laid off. My friend just got laid off a week ago with 200 other employees. Yeah, I'm sure there are oodles of places that need employees.
What is with all these "everything is peachy, there are no problems" AC republicans?
I got a 20 gb archos recorder v2 off amazon for $120 last week. plays mp3s, hacked oss firmware available (google rockbox) No ogg, because the chip inside does only mp3s. usb 2.0, mounts as a drive, so no f***ing software to install to connect (except on win98, mac os 8.6 etc), no drm garbage, spdif in / out, built in mic. You can even read text files with it. Battery life is decent, you can hack it open and replace the batteries (lion cells) in a year or two when they die (or add a bigger hdd, but I digress)
I'd rather have an iPod for the wheel but for a $200 difference, I can tolerate living without one. Check out some of the other stuff they make, you won't be dissapointed.
Creative Labs has 25% off $100 orders with coupon code AFL030425 [Exp 3/22] which makes a 40gb zen $225, but that has some other downsides, looks better than the archos, but has a bunch of other "features" that the archos doesn't have.
Yeah, pretty good prices, but they are also theiving criminals who have a horrible return policy (puts frys to shame) and tend to "lose" rebates.

I know that was rated funny, but IMHO there should be a "+1 bitter cynical humor" modpoint.
The new guy has new and better--or sometimes just different--outlooks on coding than what the original team had.

Just don't be surprised when the stadium changes their channels to create interference with yours. . .

Why?
Because it is "cool" to whine about products that they have no chance of buying because mommy won't increase their allowance.
That said, it would be nice to be able to swap ipod batteries out (like batteries in a cell phone).
except taxcut
Windows. Microsoft plans to appeal the decision.

Really?
This is the most obvious comment by a submitter that I've seen in a while.

I find that .22 hollowpoints work wonders for eliminating roaches. Of course, how feasable this is really depends on where you live.
a pen / marker will work too.
You bought a post carly model? Am I right?
