    In an economic sense the north lost: 1 million combatants and 4 million civilians killed, they've got to live in hand-carved underground tunnels etc.
    Obviously they wouldn't have succeeded if the Russians weren't giving them shitloads of resources.

    now when we start to do "cosmetic" DNA surgery we are tampering with humanity at a pretty basic level and run the risk of the species splitting off in to one (or several) different species, those who had have the genetic augmentations and those that have not.

    We don't kill sterile couples, nor gays, do we?
