I've heard this argument before, but I don't buy it. Even if there was only one major linux desktop, there is still plenty of competition from OS X and Windows. People on here don't seem to have trouble comparing Linux to Windows in regards to performance, etc. So why should desktops be any different?
I read an article the other day on how SCO mentions how Microsoft is not immune to being sued, they mearly bought a license for an API or something. What happens if SCO sues Microsoft and Microsoft uses the UNIX copyright and everything else against Linux?
Also, how is SUN but not every other operating system immune to these lawsuits?
I don't really understand how sco can cancel AIX licenses when the issue is IBM and Linux. What am I missing? Ignoring the fact that the whole thing is ridiculous to start with.
This is probably going to be just as effective as "John Romero is going to make you his bitch". Complete failure of this project to continue I'm sure. I'm 24 and love my GBA SP, fuck you nokia.
N-Gage piece of trivia for you. To put a new game in this thing you have to remove the batteries. Brilliant!
Studies have been done (sorry to lazy to find a link, but they are out there) that prove that Canada's health care system is more efficient than the american one.
If IBM was trying to discourage SCO from doing this, and SCO goes ahead with it anyways, won't IBM just go through it's list of thousands of patents (over 2000 last year alone) and destroy SCO with violations of their own?
And even if that didn't happen, they are pissing off the linux community which is still small but very dedicated. Do they think any of these people will just lay down? No geek would ever support SCO again. Either way, I think they're screwed.
I am a vegan however and this doesn't bother me at all. If fake meat works out and takes off, I think that would be great. No animals being stuck in cages too small to turn around in. Yay science. Everybody wins as far as I can tell.
Of course I also don't have much of a problem with hunting either, just industrial factory farming.
but there's little to keep people coming back to Sony every time they turn out a new machine
Actually I think there is a big reason. Backwards compatibility. Get a PS2 or a gamecube? Well if you already have PS1 then all your games, your dual shock 2 controllers will all work with the PS2, then the answer seems obvious.
This is something that I always thought was missing from consoles. Probably the one reason Nintendo isn't #1 anymore. At least they got it right with the Gameboy (a reason it is the best selling console of all time?). I wouldn't be surprised if the next console from them was able to play gamecube games as well.
It is! A dupe.

The fool article was also quoted in a posters comment.

Give it back to SCO. They clearly own it.
Slow loading site? A good slashdotting will solve that problem.

If anyone cares the song that plays during the trailer is Four Ton Mantis by Amon Tobin. An excellent song.

Can someone back me up?
If by GBA you mean Gameboy and Gameboy Color then yes it does. Nice try though.
except that everything that is stored on your computer is heavily encrypted so that even you don't know what is on there.
I posted an AskSlashdot about this, it's only been three weeks waiting to be posted.
Don't worry I'm sure your submission will be duplicated by one of the other editors anytime now.
I wonder how they managed to up the clock so dramatically?
I heard it was speed holes.
Just a comment.
Saddam did not kick out the inspectors the UN got them out of there.
Most people against the war that I know also did not like clinton.
They refuse to open their architecture.
I agree. I demand that Apple release the architecture to the OS X kernel! Their browser too while thier at it!
CAn anyone tell me what license Eclipse is under? Also, no one seems to be mentioning Gtk, how does it stack up?

In anycase, yawn...
I haven't seen this mentioned, but I asked about what license they were relasing the code under. It will be the Mozilla 1.1 license. Yay!

I for one am totally glad that the movies aren't being completely faithful, or else we'd be watching a really bad musical.
All those damn poems nearly turned me off reading the series.

Um... CLX is based on QT. Partially at least.

The alphas were just leaked and its already been shoehorned into a phone? Wow. Too bad the video card is 3 times the size of the phone.
Wheres the link to the source? Has Lindows released any source yet? I recall they had issues with this before. Anyone know?
