I wonder what the world will be like when Gnome or KDE turn ten! Right now it's impossible to predict what things will be like in one year, let alone ten!
Do you think BitTorrent could (or should) ever be expanded to cover an entire website, rather than just one file at a time?
It would save a lot of small sites from being flattened by a larger website. ***ahem***
True, but then the total cost is most likely MORE than than the Zaurus would cost in the first place.
The Gameboy processor isn't all that fast either, for example it can't play MP3's or OGG's, certainly not MPEG's.
(Tho the Zaurus does struggle a bit with the mpeg's)
$49, $99,. hmmm how much is a Gameboy Advance these days. $69.99 on amazon.com.
$217.99 total.
For a little more, you'd be better of with the Zaurus SL-5500. If you have the Gameboy Advance already tho, it might be worth it. Gonna be a HUGE annoyance browsing without a keyboard and backlight screen.
Wouldn't that simply cause 'Temporal Blur'.. so that if something was moving it would appear blurred. Most of what we see is moving so slow (from our point of view) that it may as well be static - so we'd never notice a bit of temporal smear.
The Linux community aren't exactly top of the pops in the corporate world, much in fact due to their rather immature birdlike mascot.
Immature? Rubbish. It reflects what the linux developers are doing perfectly. Not trying to be corporate, not trying to be 'top of the pops'. Simply making cool stuff because they enjoy doing it. It's upto the various distros to present that processional 'corporate' face. And they are doing it just fine thank you very much.:)
Considering this, and the recent problems Linux have had with corporate penetration, I can't see why domain names like Mad Penguin are chosen.
Maybe because the owner of the domain liked the name? *shrug*
The only effect is to drive away potential serious customers.
Again, this is a distro specific thing. Redhat and Debian both are very well presented. Presentation is not the problem, not by a long shot.
The GPL license COULD potential open a business up for a lawsuit
Yes. But how is that any different from any other software license?
Even closed source code is open to legal trouble. Perhaps even more so?
Download. Burn. Share. Kick Ass
...
erm,. shouldn't that be
Download, Burn, Share, Explode!
There's a rule in skydiving videography: Always buy Sony, there IS a difference.
... ahhh crap.
There's another rule also: If at first you don't succeed
What is the future of PNG?

*random record scratching sounds* "He-he-hello .. my name is Lin-Lin-Linus .. and I pronounce Linux as Li-Li-Linux"

Really tho, if OpenBSD can have there own song, so should Linux!
They should send one of these to Mars instead of those silly tumbleweed things!
Yea sure the lag would be horrible, but just get someone from efnet to operate it.
I doubt you'd even need the PGP header. Just random data would probably be enough.
They can't be classed as human until one of them has there own talk show!
Oh, wait... nevermind.
Without the backlight screen, I might just be able to read games.slashdot.org without getting a headache!
This is gonna be great!
GBA SP has a backlit screen.

According to this, next year! Woo-hoo!

A tiny but often overlooked tip: Make sure none of your machines boot from floppy/cdrom by default!
Infact if your really paranoid, remove all the floppy and cdrom drives!
... federal legislation ...
I feel better already.
Noooo! It's to late!
They better be careful or they are gonna decapitate that poor chick!
You read my mind.
